Senegal I knew in the eighties,a calm country was the mecca of francophone countries in terms of culture, economic and politics.
The issue then was Casamance and Zinguichor was the place for the separatist movement,it was about resource control,I hope it is now settled as I have not kept on with current situation.
I wish Senegal happiness in it's new dawn,as they reshape the political landscape,forge new policies for economic growth in oil,gas, farming, fishing and fighting desertification.
We should learn from the critical thinking skills, communication skills and continuing patriotism of the Senegalese people.

Great strides by young African leaders. But let the democracy be defined by your African values and heritage. Don't copy western style of democracy because it is not suitable for non-European nations – its not a one-size-fits-all. Use it as a basis but customize it to suit your own cultural values.
