I made this same stew but didn't made the couscous, my recipe said the blend the dates, like you I've hade that same problem of sometimes having a hard time finding info for and verifying the validity of French speaking African foods

Today I made Malian lamb stew whit couscous according to the recipe.
It turned out great !!!

Hi I am Algerian, and I really appreciate the effort. I, however, wonder how well cooked the couscous is. We usually wash it once then steam it 3 times. The first two times with water and salt, the third time with a bit of oil. Then we add a bit of butter to it. But hey this is the first time I am trying a dish from Mali so I don't know! nice channel .. I subscribed
