The SCA has overturned former ANC MP Bongani Bongo’s acquittal. Impeached and then WC judge president John Hlophe had cleared him of charges relating to an alleged attempt to bribe former parliamentary law adviser Nthuthuzelo Vanara. Karyn Maughan has more.

Judges of all races do make errors in court judgments, orders, etc. They get criticism from other superior court judges like the CC or SCA. There's nothing unusual even in this case.
