Russ Cook Praised By ‘The Real Toughest Geezer’ Who Ran Across Africa 30 Years Ago!

The first person to run the entire length of Africa nearly 30 years ago, a Briton, has commented on Russ Cook breaking his world record.

Nicholas Bourne, the businessman and former model who ran 7,499 miles from South Africa to Egypt in 1998, congratulated Cook after he completed a 10,000-mile run to Tunisia.

Cook’s accomplishment has caused…

  1. Sad that Bourne does not know the entire length of Africa"s meaning. Maybe they did not had full scale maps back then for him to know the difference. Cape to Cairo is not the entire length. Basic geography. Ask anyone in Africa. Bourne ran through Africa. To state that Russ did not know about his attempt in his sarcastic tone is a wild assumption. Everyone can Google. And what do we find when we do….is that he and Jensen ran from Cairo to Cape Town. This is not the entire length of Africa. The word "entire" has meaning. It is "entire" not "satire." When you eat, most of the pizza carries a different meaning than eating the entire pizza. Basic math, basic geopgraphy. Sad that Bourne thought all these years he ran the entire length of Africa. Must be a shock to only now find out he did not. Maybe he needs some updates on Google Maps.

  2. This makes you and him look awful by the way. This guy did like 7.49k miles in the 90s or whatever. Russ has video evidence, recorded by GPS etc of him going thousands of miles more and the ACTUAL LENGTH. Not the SHORTEST LENGTH. This guy has no balls and is trying to steal thunder from a much greater achievement. WASHED.

  3. Terrible video this, just desperately trying to play down russ’ achievement, no doubt nick done something 99.9% of people couldn’t do but he did not run the ENTIRE length of Africa

  4. From what I found Russ ran just under 2500 miles more. Not to say this guy isn’t any more impressive, I’m just here lying in bed making a shitey YouTube comment

  5. South africa to cairo ain't technically the length of africa! 😂
Russ is the first to go from southernmost point northernmost point. He wins, you lose.

Russ talked about this in one of the episodes, that south africa to eygpt had been done already. But that is not running across africa, to run africa is to go from tip to tip north south. It is very nearly, and just as impressive of course. But Russ is the first to run across africa properly

  6. Good grief, seriously!? When journalists don't have a clue about the geography of Africa they distort facts, and the truth as is the case here.

Russ Cook has been perfectly clear about being the first person to run the ENTIRE length of Africa, from the southern most tip at Cape Agulhas in South Africa to the northern most tip at Ras Ben Sakka in Tunisia. That also meant he had to run a much longer route through several West African countries to achieve his objective.

The guy they interviewed here ran a much shorter route on the eastern side of Africa. Meaning there's no comparison whatsoever.

While attempting to diminish Russ Cook's accomplishments, these journalists are making fools of themselves. 😅

  7. Not the full length of Africa. No tracking. I call bullshit. Bloke ran in Africa. Ain’t the same. Stop trying to diminish what an incredible thing Russ has done. British media should be ashamed of themselves

  8. Why are people questioning the hardest geezers achievement, he’s clearly ran from the very bottom to the very top and had to take a massive detour round the west coast on the way!
