  1. No Jasmine not all ghanaians cook the meat or fish first and add the palm nut soup into it … my grandma thought me how to first put palm nut soup on first then the fish into. Usually, it depends on the type of fish or meat u using . Cos palm nut di33 dry fish, poku, etc goes well wt it and light soup thus nkrakra di33 goes wt those meats. Anyways everybody has a diff way of cooking n what type of meat or fish they want in their soup. Kudos.

  2. Akossiwa you are perfectly correct. The husband of this woman was in china and I think she learnt it from her husband. In Togo it's just like the one prepared in Ghana. Sometimes smoke sardines are added. Please next time visit Togolese families in Accra for better recipes. Akpe.😁😆😄😁❤🤝🙏

  3. That fresh fish soup is called lanmoumou déssi…

Trust me some Ghanaians travel to Togo 🇹🇬 just to chop and go back.

As for the jollof she added her own kick with the soy sauce. We do not add soy sauce. Try a different one next time.

  4. For some reason I can’t stand the smell of ewo kpla, and I always say that Ewe’s don’t cook okra like we the Akans, they’ll remove the pot from the fire as soon as they add the okra but it still turns out good.

  5. Another amazing story when I was younger I use to wander where my Grandmother got her strength to raise all her children alone after seeing these stories its clear its our African ancestors

  6. I enjoyed it Jasmine. Miss Veronica is absolutely lovely and you are still one of my Favorite beauties also. I know my black people are some if not the best cooks in the world. Jasmine you rock babe. ❤️ ❤️

  7. Ehhh Jasmine!!! Hey Ghanaroo, I will be following in your footsteps to hunt this food down, don't know if you had much Vietnamese Bahn Mi in Sydney, but I did catch on IG, somewhere in the Volta region, with people speaking Ewe, making baguette rolls a lot like Bahn Mi, that I plan on coming back to taste for sure, have you seen these at all? Also, were you speaking Ewe? Sounded a little different, or maybe I was just listening better for a change.
    ps.Oh, and Vernonica is beautiful!!

  8. Hi Jasmine. Thanks for another great video. With respect to the "light soup" , Ewes in Ghana wouldn't refer to it as such. Those of us from the Volta Region call that "lamumu detsi" (Fresh fish soup).
