I don’t think this applies with polymer striker fired guns, but on a 1911, a looser slide fit generally means it will be more reliable when it gets dirt, debris, and gun powder residue in it. The tighter 1911s tend to choke up quicker.
Thank you for the great comparison of so many different pistols. The last comparison is the one I was waiting for…the CSX. Question: I want the CSX and would like your honest opinion. They both are great, but is the CSX worth the extra money?
I have the 365XL, the GX4, and the LCP Max. I like the triggers in that order. The LCP Max stock trigger is good enough that I don't feel the burn to upgrade it.

Having no light rail and very limited aftermarket support (Galloway precision) it’s just hard to choose it over more established offerings.
I swapped in the Galloway trigger and guide rod/recoil spring on mine and it made it much better to shoot. Had the slide cerekoted to actually be durable.
Ruger needs to get back to the drawing board and start competing

the CSX Field Strip & Reassembly is what's holding me back from purchasing. that and a Glock 26 or 29 gen 5 on the wish list
