Ruger LCR .357 Revolver: A Modern Classic?

The Ruger Lightweight Compact Revolver (LCR) has been a standout in the revolver market since its introduction in 2009. I personally own a Ruger LCR chambered in .357 Magnum.

Let’s dive into what makes the LCR, in general, a compelling choice for both new and experienced shooters and why I chose this one in particular.

  1. Great video. This was my first revolver because it looks like the one that Guido Mista used in JoJo’s Part 5 (even though this revolver didn’t exist yet when JoJo’s Part 5 was released). I think this is the best tiny snub nose revolver out there. The grip is comfy to hold, it doesn’t snag on clothes, aftermarket support is great, and the best thing about it is the smooth double action trigger (the main reason I got this over the Smith & Wesson Model 642). It handles recoil like a champ for its size and it’s so easy to be accurate with this snubbie.

  2. 1.875 inches of barrel length? Firing a .357 magnum round? 😮I have a Dan Wesson .357 magnum with a 6 inch barrel. It’s very controllable. I also have a 2 inch barrel for the same gun. I fired just enough out of this barrel to know that I didn’t want to have my life to be dependent on a fallow up shot out of the 2 inch barrel!

  3. I have had the LCR 38 for years. Great revolver to carry because of its weight and size. Put rugers full finger grip on it and made it better to shoot. My wife liked it . Bought her one.
