  1. This female host has shown the typical Ghanaian mentality 😔 e go hard una to achieve anything with this mentality. Chai! Very shallow minded people. Imagine Nigeria saying no Ghanaian artist will play in Afronation because it is owned by Nigerians 😂

  2. This banku United should stop claiming they owned or started afrobeat this guy has said 89 lies under 6 minutes. Only in Ghana the blinds leads that's why they're where they're today. For this guys to learn they try to compete, Ghanaians don't want to understand that the Nigerians are far,i mean far a ahead of them in everything especially arts.. Jealousy, hate & envyiness is what most of this banku nation people sale.

  3. My fellow Ghanaians, Nigeria has been where ghana is today.
Just keep going and you I'll surely get there.
Always remember nigerian is like 250mil strong and about 5 mill in diaspora, Nigerian like enjoyment and spend alot.So you can't rule out these factors.
Canada is feeding off American music without no issues. Why are we hating on ourselves?

  4. Nigerians have been known, accepted and recognised as big spenders in London from as far back as the 1980's!

Nite Clubs like Gullivers, The Roof Garden and Moonlighting in London catered very heavily to the Nigerian clientele!

We mostly know Ghanaians those days as working for I.S.S cleaning services in huge numbers!

So I don't know what Ghanaians this fake DJ is talking about!

  5. Did you guys see why Ghanian musicians are not doing fine you don't want to have Nigeria musician on your party? And you complained that Nigeria don't support Ghana,i if you want to grow keep hatred and jealous out of your life and watch how far you go in life

  6. I am not against the presenter for suggesting that Ghana-in-the-park should be an all-Ghana event, but it is left for the guest whose money is used to organize the event to decide, if he wants to make profit or organize it as a charity event. His money is involved here and not the presenter's own so, he should think and behave as a business man, if really he is one.

Let me school the guest(Dennis Tawiah) a little bit; Ebo Taylor, being a close friend of Fela has corrected the wrong information put out by Ayo Shonaiya(the producer of Afrobeats: The Backstory) by saying that, Fela was the sole originator of Afrobeat(as Fela called it) and he, Ebo Taylor was not part of it. According to Ebo Taylor, he did highlife only. Thank God the man, Ebo Taylor is alive to correct that wrong information that he and Fela started afrobeat in Ghana. See the link to the interview below.

Ghana is known for highlife and not afrobeat, while Nigeria is the country known worldwide for afrobeat and they are doing it very well, though some Ghanaian artists are trying to copy them. Nigerians spent their money, time, sweat and other resources to push afrobeat to the whole world, till they accepted it, but some Ghanaians who relaxed in their comfort zones, without spending a dime want to take the glory. Usher brought out Tiwa Savage and Bella Shmurda on stage, and some Ghanaians started ranting. Had it been they were American artists, they would have been very happy. Yet we preach one Africa. Some (not all Ghanaians) are not happy with Nigeria's successes in afrobeat, yet they want to blow.
This Pull him down syndrome and envy by some of you can never help you as individuals and as a nation; not happy with who God has blessed, so that your own blessing will manifest is a terrible disease. Even when some Nigerian artists try to help your artists, some of them still make nasty and laughable statements. For instance, Stonebwoy said that Nigerian artists always visit Ghana to take blessing to blow. But he is yet to blow; you bless others, but can't bless yourself, is that not laughable? When Ghana's highlife reigned in Africa, Nigerians vibed with it and never complained. Why the hate towards Nigeria now?

  7. Make Una wait o,I only see Nigerians commenting on every Ghanian podcasts, how will they promote their music if they don't have data ? Àbí nah we go still buy data for dem ?

  8. I'm happy u said u want to be biased, lady, your biased is born out of jealousy, u cant just stand knowing Nigerians are invited. I tell you, without Nigeria, u guys will continue to struggle. A business man want to recoup his money and he knew Nigerian act will do that for him.

  9. For me, Shata is afraid of failure, he will not sell outside Ghana. He is and still remain a local champion, just so unfortunate that a local champion is the biggest artist on Ghana. For me, if such an arrogant person who still owe Nigerians apology is the biggest in Ghana, then Ghana has a long way to go.

  10. One thing I noticed in this discussion is the deliberate attempt by the panellist to avoid mentioning Nigeria. If u dont have a negative or hidden agenda against us, why shying away from the truth. Nigeria is the Ishh. The concert in Ghana recently, have u realised it's a global concert and Nigerians are the only few that was invited to perform on stage?
There is no deliberate anything, Nigerian do good music, produce quality video and to get there, u need to learn from who sabi. Some Ghananians musicians and doing great now, especially the young ones but, this constant comparisons and deliberate undermining of Nigeria is not helping. Nigerians are huge and we are never stagnant, we move and if u dont want us, we leave u behind. We no dey accept or carry last.

  11. It's just unfortunate, Ghanaian still bent in claiming and reclaiming what is not theirs, Ghana is the first, dominating blablabla stories for d gods
U use a single person documentary on Netflix that is personal to him, using it to support your claim. Just show us, one person in Fela era in Ghana who will collaborate this your entitlement to afrobeats? Is it so bad to just own up to Nigeria being the ish in entertainment in Africa and learn from them?
Nigeria is pushing Africa to the world. U will name 20 Nigerian artist and u probably find 2 Ghananian in between.
    Learn and follow who sabi.

  12. Same shit every day. Anytime you hear " don't mention names please" you know they are about to gaslight, lie and blast out half truths. While you Ghanaians are busy whining and moaning about Nigerians daily, our entertainment industry is breaking new ground's. The issue of Afrobeat have been settled. The Ghanaian who played with Fela was kind enough to set the record straight. He said Afrobeat started with Fela and explained how Fela was able to do it. That girl in the studio is just silly tho.

  13. Ghana will forever be in the shadows of Nigeria. Their bad mind towards Nigeria is shutting more doors on their faces than they realized. Who wanna be part of hate mongers like the Ghanaian? Referring to Nigeria as "other", "competitor", "them" is rather pathetic. Always want to take credit for the hard work of others. The guest came to Ghana and start answering questions and telling lies to appease lazy ass emotional Ghanaians. Why would any Nigerian artistes do business with such a hater?
What a sad and contradictory interview. He literally told them what they wanted to hear and not the truth.
The fact is, Ghana music is not appealing to the ears, and one want to support hate mongers like the Ghanaians.

They are dishonest people and can not be trusted. They will say anything to make them feel better about thier pathetic life even if it is a lie.

  14. Another thing I noticed was how d guest Dennis mentioned Mr Easy n both hosts just snubbed d story on how Mr Easy made great efforts to make it to d Ghana In d Park Event. Let be Shatta Wale dat took helicopter 🚁 to dat event. D whole Ghana will explode.

D thing is dat Mr Easy wanna be Ghanaian so bad but they don’t like him. D moment they found out dat Mr Easy was not a Ghanaian they’ve sidelined him. I hope he realizes it. He’s doing everything possible to get dat Ghanaian validation but them no send am. Recently he gave their local football league $1 million but dat story never made most of their big media houses. Poor Mr Easy… mumu guy 😢
