  1. Andy (& Jon) First episode was interesting, fun, entertaining and more. Second episode was AWESOME. Thought provoking, informative, fair minded and provided all the perspectives that good journalism should provide. Bravo❤❤

  2. Just found out about this podcast and I just love it. I‘m a new fan of the sport and your coverage and insight are greatly appreciated! Thank your, Mr. Roddick, and best wishes from Germany. 🇩🇪🎾😊

  3. I think the desire to see Murray retire is one of these unhealthy youth-purist, death-denialist things. People don't like to see greats decline because they want to project perfection onto them. It's selfish. And foolish. As an adult, the sooner you confront mortality and imperfection, the better. It's also antisocial. Hating and despising frailty because you fear it can easily translate into hating and despising the frail.

  4. Topics i'd like more on. Working class challenger players and their funding challenges….tech advances for training/fitness purposes and how it's changing the game….mental illness in players and how the tours seem to ignore it…

  5. Hey Andy and John this is an awesome podcast I’m loving the deep dive but one suggestion.. go to an even deeper dive on tennis players, the politics, even the social justice aspect of it which gets bogged down in todays news and opinions is great and would love to hear more of it . And get Andre Agassi on the podcast haha

  6. Let’s talk Charlotte from Houston? Why how and your love for Charlotte music scene.
How is your brother and talk your former double play.
How about the JR world now vs your day.
    Academy’s vs Usta development.
Also comparing other countries and their development of tennis future stars.
Davis Cup play now vs when you all won.
Would love to chat . Worked on the tour for 11 years during your day. Now run security for LiveNation here in Charlotte. See you next show

  7. Enjoying Served Andy. I'm an aging player and fan. Please consider a segment that would include some of the top ranked players in the 55s, 60s, 65s, etc. How do they train? Avoid injuries? Could be a lot to unravel!

  8. Andy (and JW), great work, looking forward to making your show / analysis / commentary an integral part of my tennis year. Really valuable for us to hear insights from someone of such relevant stature. Thanks again.

  9. I’m a lifelong tennis fan. I’m really enjoying this content. It’s so cool to listen to someone who’s actually qualified to speak on the subject. My first two “real” racquets were the pro staff 90 (Roger) and pure drive Roddick

  10. Wertheim would be good to have as a co-host but also having a handful of rotating co-hosts would be good as well. Having two (2) people to bounce off of each other would make the podcast better going forward.

  11. Wow that Saudi Arabia😱 I cant believe that WTA want too send women there. I guess is ll about the money. Everyone can be bought. An Nadal an ambassador.. ugh.. no. It is beyond me that the feminist want to send the women there. They are all feminist until the money come into play. Sadly😭

  12. Andy I do like Jon Wertheim, but that dude has his own tennis podcast already. We all know what he thinks. And he’s a journalist. I want YOUR perspective. One of my favorite players of all time. I don’t want the journalist’s perspective looking for an angle. Make this YOU centric. We all want to hear from Andy friggin Roddick. You’re a legend.

  13. really good podcast🥳🎾.. i’ve watched tennis since edberg, becker, lendl & mcenroe were great🎉.. i’ve always been a huge rafa fan, but love tennis in general😍.. i liked you too andy, especially your 1/4 final vs aynouai 21-19 in the fifth💪.. i rate that match on the lvl of some of the best in history like fx fedal wimpy 08, aussie 09 and 17, roger vs djoke wimpy 19, alcaraz vs djoke wimpy 23, you vs roger 09 ( you should’ve won that😉 ) & a lot of rafa vs djoke matches… loved your press comments, great humor and always taking your heart on court🤩..
looking forward to many more awesome podcasts from you guys🌞

  14. I think fans start thinking people should retire when they're way off their best, like Murray at the moment, because sometimes it's a shame to see someone way short of what they were. Though if Murray is happy where he is and thinks he can improve, then he can go for a while yet if he wants, guy is a legend.

  15. Not comparing Andy Murray to Michael Jordan, but didn’t they hound him like hyenas and vultures at the end of his career too? It’s ridiculous. Who wouldn’t seriously consider giving away a whole paycheck to have seen Jordan, Serena, Venus, or Murray keep playing?

  16. Andy you could slow down just a little bit when you are talking it’s amazing your brain works fast like a kid on candy still but it can be a little hard to relax to!

  17. Man I’m glad you’re doing this Andy, you’ve always been one of my favourite players and definitely my favourite off the court (hope that doesn’t sound too much like your joke at the Aussie Open from a few years ago hahah). This space really has been missing somebody like you commenting on the game, I sincerely hope this project grows in the direction of something like JJ Reddick’s coverage of the NBA, you’re every bit as good as he is. Much love from Germany and keep it up!!

  18. Hello Andy, really nice to see you starting a podcast, because you are definitely a person who has a lot of interesting and entertaining things to say! It would be very interesting, if you could do an episode about how the tennis tour was in your days, how the backstage of it was. Something sort of "down the memory lane". And maybe you could invite some of your opponents from back in a day. I am sure this would be a very interesting and popular episode!

  19. RE: Your New Racquet Choice
This will most likely be an unpopular suggestion, however, I will make a brief argument for Wilson.

Yes, the racquet brand of your nemesis: The man who made ten years of your professional career extremely difficult.

Maybe not the exact same racquet as his, but one that suits your game obviously. From an American company no less (yes, I know it's a loose descriptor).

Maybe you've already decided against it, but what a beautiful choice it could be to wield the W to find something new and creative in your game now.

I say grab an old 95 sqin graphite/fiberglass model with a modern hybrid string bed and see what happens.

Sorry for the long post. Thank you for your contribution to tennis. Cheers

  20. Don’t cry out loud for Middle East human rights. All woke western companies don’t say a single thing when advertising on these countries. So stop lecturing us about what’s happening in the Middle East before first criticising the hypocrisy of the west. In the end money talks. 🤡

  21. In addition to the excellent contributions of Jon Wertheimer, I would like to see Christopher Clarey or Matthew Futterman, the great tennis writers for the NY Times and authors, contribute to the podcast.

  22. Kasatkina playing and goes to vacations in Gulf countries and they have the same rule as Saudi Arabia! It’s done deal since BJK and Rafa are ok so the rest will fall in lines with money and time.
