Nice tour on the current development of that bridge and it's surrounding.
On the issue of "cracks", the bridge has no cracks in the real sense. Those are spaces left during construction stage called expansion joints to allow thermal expansion of the bridge during hot periods. The spaces lacks the steel strips hence covered with tarmac.
The traffic movement/vibrations and rain water makes the tarmac between the spaces to disintegrate causing the "cracks". In conclusion, the "cracks" are on the tarmac and not the bridge itself.
Athi River.
