Bangladesh earns 25 billion dollars as remittance each year. India has a population almost 8 times more than Bangladesh (BD 170 million vs India 1430 millions). Comparing the size the population of two countries, Bangladesh is doing much better than India as remittance earner. Per capita remittance for Bangladesh is US$ 138 and that of India is US$ 92.
Not just Indians, 18 million for over a billion people is small, I just checked , 15 million Bangladesis and 10 million Pakistanis live abroad.
