In contemporary times, the current cadre of African leaders seems oblivious to the impermanence of their ability to traverse European landscapes in pursuit of healthcare, a stark contrast to their forebears.

   These contemporary leaders, in their cognitive inertia, delude themselves into a fallacious presumption of perpetual access to European medical sanctuaries. Unbeknownst to them, the inexorable grip of maladies such as COVID-induced Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS), hemorrhagic throat malignancies, or pulmonary embolisms may unveil the ephemeral nature of their presumed privilege. Their accumulated wealth, ill-gotten and stowed away in foreign domains, would prove inconsequential when confronted with the exigencies of their own deteriorating health.

   In stark juxtaposition to the discerning colonial progenitors, these leaders, ensconced in their opulence, fail to fathom the eventual entrapment within the vicissitudes of bodily afflictions. The hypothetical scenario presented, of succumbing to ailments akin to the impoverished farmer from Agotimekpetoi, serves as a poignant reminder of the universal inevitability of mortality. It beckons these leaders to reassess their myopic proclivities and, in their ostentatious pursuits, exhibit a semblance of self-serving conscientiousness.

   For those who perpetuate the perpetual cycle of pecuniary indulgence, a poignant admonition emerges: contemplate, in your ostensible next life, the judiciousness of channeling resources toward fortifying institutions like the Ejisu government hospital. Such altruistic endeavors, though tinged with avarice, harbor the potential for self-preservation, providing a bastion against the capricious whims of unforeseen ailments that assail the mighty and indigent alike.

3. RIP but yall should remember that 19 ordinary Ghanaians died because there was no money to open the Dialysis unit in Korle Bu. Everyone's life is equally important.
