  1. Miners risk death as they free dive to as deep as 60 feet to plunder boulders and rocks in underwater tunnel systems in search of gold.

In the remote region of Tawi Tawi, the final gateway before the sea border with Malaysia, the Marines and Maritime Police are struggling to close the smuggling and trafficking corridors that flow through the area to reach international waters.

  2. Time will come that they will no longer catch any fishes even with the use of these fish bombs. Corals play a huge and important role in the marine life.

I’ve watched a different documentary before, but it was about how (Philippine) fishermen stopped using these kind of devices cause they no longer have any fishes to catch. They are now the one’s who’s in a NGO implementing traditional fishing to save coral reefs/marine life.

  3. this must be the government priority to re-educate people and put a long-term livelihood projects for them instead of using people's taxes for useless peryahan-type Senate hearings like Sandro Mullach sexual harassment or spending millions to gold medalist just to divert the real issues and problems of the people but covering their inefficient and irrelevant people's money spending.

  4. So impretty ignorent about other countrys. But where im from gold is sooooooo valued most involved with it successfully live better then the rest of use. But this place does not look like its doing well even tho there doing the same things. ☹️ i dont understand why that is.

  5. I was there in SAMAR ,LEYTE in the 90's and I already saw this Dynamite fishing all he time and the Military , Police or what ever did not care about it. Paricularly , I was in Gamay Island ,Samar-Leyte.

  6. WHO DECIDED that mining of gold far into sea by indigenous natives of SA is illegal ⁉️especially with own i pro sin with own risks involved in doing so🤔💭⁉️

  7. It is my wish that all coastal areas in the Municipality in the Philippines should organize themselves to be known as "bantay dagat" funded by the LGUs themselves and not to wait for help from the national government in protecting the sea and natural resources underneath especially against the chinese dredging and island building.

  8. The problem of this country is exponential corrupt governance and canibalizing each other livelihood which results to poor planning on providing the citizens an opportunity to make a living for future generations. It's sad to watch PH as it dusk year by year, and one day it might not see dawn especially China is now pressing onward for domination of the sea.

  9. If it's stunning fish then they are in the water, what is the purpose of the bombs replace bombs with nets they use too, it's impossible, not to have fish in the ocean. if there is no fish which i doubt then its something they to doing on that land that is against God it's cursed

  10. They can do nothing to stop it.
They dont give other work to the people so how do they eat if there is no work.
It is easy for the Police to take a boat and arrest them but they don't. Not so smart cause one day the ocean will be empty and no life will grow there.
So i hope they get smart and do something about it.
