Realistic Indoor Meandering Creek Forest Biome Vivarium

A few months ago I got my Fishing Spider, Toby. Originally, I thought it was a wolf spider and made its vivarium accordingly. It looked great and would actually work long-term, but I knew I could do better after I discovered it was actually a fishing spider.

The woods around my house are part of the temperate forest biome complete with creeks,…

  1. Love your creations! My skills are definitely very basic. Or lazy. Take your pick 😅 I have a 75 gal vivarium? bearded dragon tank. It's topped with a removable screen which is not user-friendly for dwarf-sized people. Even standing on a step stool, my hands can't touch the bottom 🤦‍♀️ I'd like to make the front glass pane and make either a front opening or sliding glass doors. What's your advice? I really don't want to fall into the tank 🙄

  2. If you don’t mind sharing, what cork bark tile do you use. I’m looking for a nice dark sheet but I don’t want it to have any harmful chemicals or dyes because it is for a frog

  3. I have the most broken warri Build ever where You go deep prot with Arms , you shieldslam and execute and devastate with Schild because you have Most attackpower like this, you Play with wreckingball so mele crits enraged you than you Play with consumed by Rage so when your enraged you Hit with Both weapons and than you use makro which chances shield to second 1 h weapon so you whirlwind with two 1 h weapons and you Take Preise timing for slam every 6 seconds and use makro which changes to 2h weapon to slam. So slam and whirlwind both use the more attackpower which you get After a slam for 12 seconds. And execute

  4. in the future you could use marbles or ball bearings to test the water flow. it's not perfect but it could show if your pitch is correct, just make sure you protect your glass.

  5. Help! I'm in the US and when I search for moisture wicking fabric I can't seem to find the style/type used here. Same for cargo mesh 😩 but in my search I've seen many other fabrics listed as moisture wicking; my question is whether these will also work? Anyone have any experience with using these in their builds? I'm in the process of updating my cichlid/plecco tank and haven't had much success with growing plants/moss above the water!

  6. this is AMAZING. i think it's one of your best. it even looked really good in some of the final stages like pre-green. it's almost like if we saw it in different seasons. like, winter would be the brown one before plants. then after those and moss was like spring/summer. then adding fallen leaves was a bit like fall coming in. it's truly incredible looking. i'm totally marveling at the way you did the layers of deadspace, the foam, eggcrate, or tucking lava rocks under the cloth, then hiding that whole area with the sand, branch, s. moss, and then live moss. WOW. so many skills coming together here. that's one damn lucky spider. i hope he's one of your favs!

i'd love something this fancy for a mantis.

as spiders go, blue tarantulas (forget the names of both, sorry) and the rosy, those are my favs. wonder what their ecosystems look like?

  7. That vivarium is incredible! Btw I’ve seen those spiders on the bodies of water in my area and they’re so sketchy and no joke at all. Saying they’re quick is an under statement. I spooked a few of them on a river and as I ran up stream I saw them flying across the top of the water past me

  8. Mf chose the best house to break into. It’s like walking into a mansion, getting your own mansion from the owner and then they decided that your prior mansion was not good enough and gives you a better one. I hope one day I can do this. Just gotta wait for a spider to break into my house
