Reacting to Aron Ra: “Zoology Disproves Noah's Flood”

Does the field of zoology disprove Noah’s Flood? Atheist Aron Ra claims that it blows the story out of the water. Christian, Jake, and Peter react in this video.

Also: sorry about how glitchy I am. My internet isn’t great out in the country, but I have changed some things, so hopefully it is better going forward.

  1. The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.
    Isaiah 40:8

As for God, his way is perfect: The Lord’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him.
    Psalm 18:30

Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.
    Matthew 7:24

  2. #1 Science isn't greater than God.
#2 Creation science shows us that creation and intelligent design is a far more plausible theory than evolution
#3 much of what evolutionists believe is based on their philosophies. Not hard facts.
#4 Christian's actually have a relationship with God. So to tell us that there is no God is extremely foolish.

  3. Amen. Good video, guys. The thing that some people don't understand is that many things in the flood were supernatural in origin. There are many scientific evidences for global flood but there are many things that can only be explained by God's supernatural hand. You're dealing with people who don't believe the supernatural. So, of course they are going to worship science above all else. Fortunately, we who are believers have the Holy Spirit and we know that there is a God. They speak from their ignorance. Pray for them that God would help them to see.

  4. John 8:31-32
“To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, ‘If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.'”

In this passage, Jesus speaks about abiding in His word as true disciples do. Then you will know the truth, and it will set you free,” He assures his followers.

  5. Proverbs 30:5
“Every word of God is flawless; He is a shield to those who take refuge in him.”

Proverbs tells us, “Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.” We learn two key things here:

    Trustworthiness.
    Protection through knowledge and salvation.
When doubts arise or when life throws challenges at us, these words remind everyone about finding safety in His promises.

  6. 2 Peter 1:20-21
“Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation of things. For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.”

Peter offers insight into how scripture came to be in these verses. He says prophecy never had its origin in human will but prophets were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

  7. Psalm 119:160
“All your words are true; all your righteous laws are eternal.”

The psalmist declares in Psalm 119:160, “All your words are true; all your righteous laws are eternal.” Here, the focus is on the everlasting nature of God’s Word.

  8. God's word is truth

    John 17:17
“Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.”

Jesus spoke powerful words in John 17:17. He said, “Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.” This verse highlights that God’s Word stands as a source of truth. It guides believers to live holy lives.

  9. Psalm 14

The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, They have done abominable works, There is none who does good. 2 The Lord looks down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there are any who understand, who seek God. 3 They have all turned aside, They have together become corrupt; There is none who does good, No, not one.

Scripture is clear that those who reject God's existence—or live as if He does not exist—are recklessly irrational. The Hebrew word used here is nābāl. Other verses in Proverbs use different Hebrew words which can be translated into English as "fool" (Proverbs 1:7; 10:23; 12:15). Those other words tend to focus on moral evil and ignorance, but none require someone who lacks intelligence. Nābāl, used here, implies someone senseless, with an emphasis on being willingly disobedient. The "fool" of this type is characterized by animal stereotypes (Psalm 49:20) such as donkeys and mules.

First Samuel 25 introduces a man named Nabal (1 Samuel 25:3). He exemplifies the type of "fool" this psalm condemns. Nabal was obstinate, ignorant, crude, and unreasonable (1 Samuel 25:17). He refused to help David and his men when messengers from David requested provisions. This was after David's men had protected Nabal's workers (1 Samuel 25:7). Despite clear evidence, and good reasons , "Fool" chose to act arrogantly and selfishly. David was tempted to retaliate until Abigail, Nabal's wife, persuaded him not to shed blood (1 Samuel 25:21–35).

According to Scripture, rejecting or dismissing God's existence is corrupt and leads to an evil life (Romans 1:18–32). Even those respected as good citizens are depraved fools if they reject the truth that God exists. Such a person lacks spiritual wisdom, so they are incapable of doing anything that pleases the Lord. Their heart is wicked. Their head lacks spiritual knowledge. Such a person continues to be entirely depraved, meaning every part of their being has been marred by sin.

Romans 3:10–12 includes this verse's phrasing as part of Paul's explanation of sin.

The word translated "corrupt" here is from the Hebrew root shachath, meaning "marred, ruined, polluted, or destroyed" (Genesis 6:11; Proverbs 25:26). Jeremiah 13:7 applies the same word to a ruined item of clothing: it had become "spoiled" and "good for nothing." This is subtly different from the term used in Psalm 14:3, which more specifically refers to moral corruption.

  10. Romans 1:16
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.”

Paul writes about not being ashamed of the gospel because it is the power of God at work saving everyone who believes—the Jew first but also anyone else who comes seeking truth from Him.

  11. Jeremiah 23:29
“Is not my word like fire,” declares the LORD, “and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces?”

Jeremiah compares God’s word to fire and a hammer that breaks rocks apart—both images show its immense power! Just like fire transforms anything it touches into ash or heat energy, so does the Lord’s message transform lives when taken seriously.

  12. 2 Timothy 3:16-17
“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

Every part of scripture comes from God Himself; this includes teachings about truth, correcting mistakes, making moral improvements, or training in righteousness so that all people may be complete for every good work.

  13. Isaiah 55:11
“So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”

God’s promises are sure to happen just as He says. In Isaiah, it is written that His word goes out from His mouth and will not return empty. It will accomplish what He desires.

  14. There is power in God's word

    Hebrews 4:12
“For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”

The Bible tells us that the word of God is alive. It is powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword. This verse from Hebrews shows how deeply God’s word can cut through our thoughts and intentions. It divides soul and spirit, joints and marrow.

  15. In Christianity, the Bible is considered the "Word of God," and there is much to find about this topic in scripture. The Bible is called the Word of God, meaning it can be considered a direct line of communication from the Lord, divinely inspired by the authors of the respective books.

Jesus Christ Himself is also called the Word of God. This concept is based on the belief that Jesus embodies God's message to humanity. According to the Gospel of John, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God" (John 1:1). This passage suggests that Jesus is not only a messenger of God's word but that He is the very essence of that word.

The idea of Christ as the Word of God has significant theological implications. It means that through Christ, God has revealed himself to humanity uniquely and powerfully. It also means that Christ is not merely a human teacher or prophet but that He is divine – part of the triune Godhead.

Word of God: Top 10 Bible Verses
Hebrews 4:12 – For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

Matthew 4:4 – But he answered, “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”

Psalm 119:105 – Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

John 1:1 – In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

  16. If there is a dispute between science and the Bible, it is not the Bible that is wrong.
The Bible is God's word. Science is just the opinions of man.

If the Bible is truly God’s Word, then we should cherish it, study it, obey it, and fully trust it. If the Bible is truly the Word of God, then it is the final authority for all matters of faith, practice, and morality. If the Bible is the Word of God, then to dismiss it is to dismiss God Himself.

  17. The Bible is the complete and sufficient Word of God that gives us everything we need to be saved and walk with God (2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12). Therefore, there is no need for any further revelation from God. God does not speak. Rather, God has spoken.

  18. First of all, we have to realize that God's word is greater than man's word. The opinions and philosophies of human beings are flawed and biased. They don't look for God because they don't want God to exist. Instead, they formulate all of these ideas that are based on naturalism. If there is a God (and there is) he was present at creation. He knows what happened better than we do and he has intervened in human affairs since the beginning.

  19. We all trust in something. Even the most skeptical among us exercises complete trust in many things. When we stand up, we trust that our legs will hold us. When we sit down, we trust the chair. We trust that, when we inhale, the right amount of oxygen will be present to sustain us. When we go to bed, we trust that the earth will continue its rotation so that morning will come. We have chosen to place trust in these things because of their past reliability. We choose to trust; otherwise, we would live in a constant state of fear and uncertainty.

When it comes to God and the Bible, the same principles apply. We choose what we trust. Faith in God means that we have chosen to trust that He exists, that He is who the Bible says He is, and that our trust—or lack of it—will radically impact our lives and eternity. However, the alternative to faith is not “lack of faith.” To choose against faith in God also requires trust. We must trust that God does not exist, that He cannot be known by us, and that this choice has no impact on our lives and eternity. Denying God’s existence takes an even bigger leap of faith because the questions raised in the Bible still demand to be answered. Those who discount the Bible must supply answers themselves to countless questions with no ready answers, such as those dealing with the meaning of life and the complexity of design seen in the universe. Many who choose to trust something other than the Bible must finally agree with atheist Bertrand Russell, who concluded that, if life beyond the grave is a myth, then life before the grave has no meaning.

When choosing where to place our trust, we must consider the reliability of each option. The Bible makes some startling claims about itself. Some people think they can pick and choose which parts of the Bible they consider true, but the Book itself never gives us that option. It states that it is the inspired Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16), that it is true (Psalm 119:160; John 17:17), and that it is the guidebook for our lives (Psalm 119:105; Luke 4:4). (got questions)

  20. The Bible’s history is reliable throughout—from the creation of man from the dust of the ground to the worldwide Flood to the coming of Jesus Christ. But just reading the evidence isn’t enough. The message of salvation founded in the Bible's history is also true, and, God wants us to accept the gift of salvation He freely offers us.

The evidence is real. God has revealed Himself to us in His Word and in His creation (Romans 1:20). (AIG)

  21. Scientists once understood the fossils (which are buried in water-carried sediments of mud and sand) to be mostly the result of the great Flood. Those who now accept the evolutionary billions of years of gradual accumulation of fossils have, in their way of thinking, explained away the evidence for the Flood—hence their belief in a local flood, or none at all. If they would think from a biblical perspective, they would see the abundant evidence for the Flood. As someone quipped, “I wouldn’t have seen it if I hadn’t believed it.”

Those who accept the eons of time with its fossil accumulation also, perhaps unwittingly, rob the Fall of its serious consequences. They put the fossils, which testify of disease, suffering, and death before mankind appeared, before Adam and Eve sinned and brought death and suffering into the world. In doing this they also undermine the meaning of the death and Resurrection of Christ. Such a scenario also robs God’s description of His finished creation as ‘very good’ of all meaning . (CMI)

  22. Twentieth-century geologists taught the familiar maxim: "The present is the key to the past."

But now that catastrophic processes are widely employed to describe the strata record, twenty-first century geologists are wondering whether "marine flood sedimentation is the key to the past."

Geological strata and their contained marine fossils provide critical evidence that the ocean once covered the continents, even the highest continental areas. Extremely widespread strata blankets argue for an intercontinental or global flood.

The Sauk Sequence extends throughout North America and appears to extend into Europe. The Tippecanoe Sequence also covers much of North America and may well extend into Europe and Africa. There are also intercontinental redbed sequences, intercontinental tuff beds, and coal-bearing strata cycles.

Granular, water-charged sediment flows result in very rapid stratification. Dilute flows produce thick sequences of plane beds, graded beds, and crossbeds by sustained unidirectional flow. Such flows also produce thick sequences of hummocky beds by sustained bidirectional flow.

Concentrated sediment flows produce thick strata sequences by abrupt deposition from liquefied suspension or evenly bedded strata by flow transformation to a tractive current.

These and many other obvious processes are leading many geologists to construct a global flood model for earth history. (ICR)

  23. A Gracious Defense
As in Jesus’ day, people demand evidence (Matthew 12:38; John 20:24–25). With these powerful evidences of the global flood, you can give a gracious, reasoned defense that confirms the Bible’s accuracy (1 Peter 3:15). But also pray that the Holy Spirit will open minds to these truths and open hearts to respond to the gospel. The salvation of their souls must be the final objective of our witness.

There can be no doubt that the global flood cataclysm really happened, just as God’s eyewitness account in Genesis describes. The power of God our Creator should humble us with awe and make us tremble at his judgment of humanity’s sin. But just as he offered Noah and his family a way of escape when they built the ark, he offers us salvation in Jesus Christ to escape the coming judgment of fire (2 Peter 3:7). (AIG)

  24. Evidence in the Folds
Further evidence that these layers were laid down quickly, not over millions of years, are the folds we find in these sediment layers. When hard rock is bent (or folded), it invariably fractures and breaks because it is brittle. Only unhardened rock can bend when it is soft and pliable—“plastic,” like modeling clay. When water deposits sediments in a layer, some water is left behind, trapped between the sediment grains. As other sedimentary layers are laid on top of them, the pressure squeezes the sediment grains closer together and forces out much of the water. As the sediment layer dries out, the chemicals that were in the water between the grains convert into a natural cement. This cement transforms the originally soft and wet sediment layer into hard, brittle rock. (AIG)
