In case someone is wondering why there is an Egyptian flag on the can, I'm pretty sure it's to signify that this has the Egyptian spice mix. At least that is the case with the brand I buy, they offer a couple of different flavors/spice mixes most notably Egyptian and Lebanese, they put the flag on it to identify which mix it has. It actually says so in Arabic in the little red circle under the flag though for some reason the English text under it says "Premium Quality", the Arabic text says "Egyptian Mix".
You watch this during ramadan before iftar your will be watering but watching this after and your stomach will start giving a sense of pain youve never felt
Fun fact “aish balady” just translated to country-style (aka traditional) bread. And it is very grainy almost, I prefer aish shamy which is your typical well known pita.

Your aish baladi looks very good. I've baked it a few times, it needs to be thicker than whole grain pita and much more flavourful.
