Average SA public 'servant' earning R465,000 p yr will buy the EVs, for doing nothing. Think of the kids of the 50,000 gov workers who are millionares – escalating from 10,000 in 2013 to 55,000 in 2023/2024. And they invested how much of it in industries providing jobs? We don't know but it can't be many if any. They are waiting for international investors to skim more.
Then there's another tier earning R600,000-R1 million. That's between R50,000 + R84,000 p month. While half of 1.3 million earning R350,000 p yr.
They will ditch old hat petrol etc vehicles for traveling on the rickety legs of eskom – that is of eskom stays gov owned.

I've always had a big problem with our politician's (and fellow countrymen's) anti-western beliefs and trajectories. Not to say I'm against BRICS or anything like that, I'm just saying development should take more priority than baseless hatred and phobias.

You may not agree with their ideologies, but that doesn't mean they haven't a thing to offer, amd same applies to the west as well (thence their cooperation with the eastern oil hiants). It's all about development, not politics! We fail to see tht sometimes. That we employ these people to improve the general socioeconomic status, not for their politics! We owe no loyalty to neither side, east or west, we shouldn't get court up in politics thatve nothing to do with us, we should just set our eyes on development (which we greatly need)!
