Municipalities are in a race against time to upgrade all standard transfer specification meters by the 24th of November.
The South African Local Government Association, or SALGA, says the mandatory updating of prepaid electricity meters has allowed municipalities to identify non-vending meters, including those that are illegally bypassed.

my home town is polokwaneso i have a problem with the meterbox it doesn't take electricity , but we did everything that they want us to do

I buy my electricity online from Nedbank. However when I enquired about the upgrading codes, absolutely nobody in the Zewenwacht branch knew anything about it???

it still the same cause in my wood we use new meters but eskom workers bypass for others cause they know each other for e.g my neighbours we use same meters but they don't buy electricity so thry busy feeding us with useless info even that guy maybe he does'nt buy one waste of time

I was everday by florida prepaid office they keep do nothing al the cp nr they close it with out doing any thing they put my power of at the pole when they come from germuston to repair they put it on by the pole no cable thwft

Municipalities should go from a household to the other to upgrade because people doot know anything around electricity and some are not even staying around their home.
Provide number that we are calling or the office we need to go to.
