  5. Potjiekos, the traditional way, never comes from a recipe. It was invented by togryers – transportryers – and originally was togkos. The modern outlandish concoctions have little in common with the real thing, as they by and large deviate from the method. It should never become a stew, but be a bredie. There is a difference indeed.
