First thank you for this. I LOVE THE SERIES. I just finished it. I really resonated with you Tony from episode 5 on the prospect of moving back to America. I currently live in LA and for my 60th in 2 years I will be making my trip to Africa. I literally can't wait. This series has been a godsend! I want to step outside and be a man and not a black man. My partner is white but we can't wait to visit. I need to step foot in Africa so we can feel what it is like to just be me for a minute! I love America but can't stand it at the same time.
Ep4 was wild tho. Crying in front of the people he felt bad for 😂😂
Hey I started driving like they do, so much less stressful and I'll put my hazard lights on in a heartbeat…don't play w/me! 😂 #DrivingInGhana
I'm curious about life for a single woman with children in Ghana.
The kelley family is disrespectful. How do you go to another country and not learn about the culture? I hope it does get better.
Enjoying the series! Fun recalling my families first reactions to such a different environment especially back then. I am Black American, my father worked for UN and we moved to Zambia in 1969 just as the country gained independence from GB. Scary for a teenage girl from California with Russians and Chinese as neighbors. I've lived in Zambia, Malawi and South Africa not to mention a couple of Asian countries. I now reside in Denmark. Velveeta is known as being a pasteurized process cheese product high in calories and fat with little nutritional value. Personally, I don't like it but hey you do you.
Did the show find people to move or was this something these people were going to do before the show came around. The fact that they were shocked that they would be living in a "suburb" with nice houses shows how much they bothered to research the place. Then being shocked they couldn't find their American brand potato chips just shows how unrealistic there visions of their new home are. What's next their anger at not having a Taco Bell they can Uber Eats from. I do think the experience is the best thing they could possibly do for their children. Having grown up in a few different continents I think people especially children grow so much being exposed to different cultures so I hope they make it. I just can't help but be amazed you would move to a country without researching it at all or knowing anything about it. Very much an American trait.
Why are folks going to Africa for fast food – it's not food this is embarrassing and so unhealthy. Eat local!
I dont like fast food and I dont drink milk. So that kind of stuff means nothing to me.
Chicken in America at KFC is all GMO and does not taste like the chicken before the 1990’s. I enjoyed your 1st episode, CONGRATULATIONS!!!🎉
Re: driving – I didn’t drive in Ethiopia, but you haven’t lived until you’ve ridden a public bus with a herd of goats on the roof! It’s very loud and I was totally expecting to see them “raining” down or flying by like the cow in the first tornado movie!!!!
They held on and knew their stop, too!!!!!
Do people eat the US corn sent there? My brother was in Liberia and they do not use US corn that is shipped there because of pesticides.
“The corn is poison!”
I don’t think they let farm animals have it either!
Enjoyed the show! I’m glad to find out there are more episodes!
I’ve “been there”!
Many years ago we moved to Ethiopia(now Eritrea), 21 years old with a 6 month old in tow! WOW …… so many surprises!
We absolutely LOVED it there! We lived there 18 months.❤
Just watched. So excited to see you two. Great production.
When I come to Ghana, I eat a whole lot but when I weigh myself after I return, I don’t gain weight!!!! It’s the most satisfying food fest.
Tony aka Gary aka still owes $30 to Spencer 😂
Tony and Ayo, you both presented so well. 🌟🌟🌟I was so proud, having followed you for several years now. 🥹 I wanted to see more of you, so I will stay tuned each week. Congratulations on this milestone moment. 🙌🏼Your lives and businesses will absolutely blossom with possibilities‼️👏🏼🥰

I already know I need more episodes!
I was rolling during the “Swedish not Swedish” massage lol. Dudes face looked creepy 😂😂😂.
Tony how you gonna let them keep bowing like that😂😂😂?
The driving there sounds like India..Our first day in Delhi we had to run for our lives to cross the road..Cars, motorbikes, cows everywhere and everyone going at once..
Educator's tour sounds fantastic!
Speaking of bread going moldy in a couple days, I once bought a flat of Costco chocolate muffins and forgot it in the top shelf of the cupboard. Three months later it was till looking fine. And tasted fine too! But makes you realize what you're eating.
I really love the show! Great production ❤
Yes, LaMara says hello…
Damn. Max is not available in Canada. Guess I'm finally gonna have to bite the bullet and get VPN.
