The length of time that the civilization of Ancient Egypt lasted until the Romans showed up is so long especially compared to a Country like America thats its a little hard to perceive once it gets to BCE years it feels like they should barely establishing more complex civilizations not as deep into ancient Egyptian civilization as it was. I think thats why it fascinates me. People have been recently saying men think about the Roman Empire all the time or like at least once a day. I don't care about Rome enough to think of it very often at all but I think about ancient egypt daily
