  1. Yup, was watching Vidoes till I saw one that reminded me of my mom. This is exactly how she did it. I love hearing it in Kiswahili, I never learned yet and it’s exciting seeing I can understand 🥹🥰

  2. I am eating this pilau right now. Followed her instructions to the T. I let my basmati and spice condiments sit for about 1hr 10min. It's just awesome. Best pilau I have ever made! Oh a few tweaks to mine – I used one large chicken thigh fillet cut into narrow strips so this made me skip the 'meat boiling' stage since chicken thighs are very tender and cook quickly. So I threw the raw strips in at the same stage she tossed in her beef. And I also added some few raw but very soft chopped potatoes right after the chicken strips. Continued the rest of the recipe exactly as she directs. It came out really awesome. I didn't have an oven friendly pot so I transferred the pilau into a glass casserole, covered with foil and let it sit in the oven for say about 20min at 180 degrees Celsius. And voilà! Done and awesome…. I wish we could share pics on comments. Asante sana dada 🙏
