Hi.. how long is wadi rum camps to petra to drive?
Wadi Rum was incredible, we had a great time when we went there
البتراء جزء من قرى قوم النبي صالح عليه السلام قرى ثمود و هي تمتد من جنوب الأردن الى اقصى شمال السعودية البتراء جزء من مدائن صالح التي تقع في شمال السعودية في منطقة تبوك
إن من بنى هذه القرى و نحت هذه الجبال هم قوم ثمود و هم من العرب البائدة من الأقوام الذين أبادهم الله جميعاً و ترك لنا اثارهم و ذكرهم الله في القرآن الكريم
ان المعلومات الخاطئة التي تم دسها في كتب التعليم كلها كذب و تزوير المراد منه هو لطمس حقيقتها و قصتها الحقيقية و الاعلام الان يروج لهذه الاكاذيب الخطيرة ينسبونها لقوم لم يعرف عنه شئ ولم يذكر بتاريخنا ولا حتى الله ذكرهم في القرآن الكريم من هم هؤلاء العرب الانباط !!!!؟
يريدون طمس اي شيء يتعلق بالانبياء و المرسلين لان هذه الاثار والمدن و القرى و قصصها كلها مذكورة في كتاب الله تعالى القران الكريم و هذه من معجزات القران الكريم
لو عرف الناس حقيقة هذه المدن والقرى و قصصها مع الانبياء والمرسلين لصعقوا من الصدمة و هناك ادلة و براهين لا يمكن طمسها و هذا أيضاً يضحد قول الكفار بإنكارهم و تكذيبهم للقران الكريم و ان سيدنا محمد رسول الله بعث للعالم بالحق هذه الاثار و القرى والمدن تؤكد للعالم مصداقية الرسالة
قال تعالى : ( وَثَمُودَ الَّذِينَ جَابُوا الصَّخْرَ بِالْوَادِ ) معنى و تأويل [ سورة الفجر الآية 9 ]
يقول الله تعالى : أَوَلم ترى كيف فعل ربك بثمود قوم صالح، الذين شقُّوا صخور الجبال، وجعلوا منها بيوتًا .
{ وَثَمُودَ الَّذِينَ جَابُوا الصَّخْرَ بِالْوَادِ } أي: وادي القرى، نحتوا بقوتهم الصخور، فاتخذوها مساكن
كما قال جلّ ثناؤه: ﴿ وَكَانُوا يَنْحِتُونَ مِنَ الْجِبَالِ بُيُوتًا آمِنِينَ﴾
[ سورة الحجر:الآية 82 ]
شرح معنى قول الله تعالى باختصار : كانوا ينحتون الجبال، فيتخذون منها بيوتًا، وهم آمنون من أن تسقط عليهم أو تخرب.

Scarves are too much money. You have to bargain with them. I guess you didn’t know that. That rule #1 when you travel. Some considerate, very disrespectful if you don’t and a lot of countries.

Indra110, I have camped deep in Petra and in Wadi Rum and have never come across any snakes or scorpions. That is not to say that they don't exist. In Wadi Rum, I usually see snake tracks early morning but that's probably because they have been out the previous night where the temp is cooler. In both areas, snakes prefer steep dry cliffs. There are 37 snake species with about 7 that are poisonous/venomous. There are 18 types of scorpions in Jordan 5 of which are toxic. You will find many tour guides who have blogs/websites taking pics of scorpions so they can't be that lethal. If in the rare case you get bitten, any of the rangers in the Petra and Rum areas will be able to provide first aid for venomous bites. Snake and scorpion bites have been rarely reported on travel blogs for Jordan so I wouldn't worry about it, especially if you are sticking to the main trails in Petra where there is lots of foot traffic. One tip my camping guides told me over the years is to stuff my hiking boots/shoes with my socks at night even when sleeping inside a tent so that I don't have any surprises in the morning.
