This is cheap resort to pedestrian populism. A governor who couldn't give his state pipe borne water for eight years and in fact shut down the water corporation and sacked all its staff after owing them over 62 months salary arrears.And when people began drilling boreholes he introduced a heavy boreholes levy with many landlords suffering arrest and detention to compel them to pay the boreholes levy .the same man is going about drilling boreholes in the north and now calling on others to join him. These politicians sef. Anambra had pipe borne water under Dr Mbadinuju, who contributed in the poor performance of the water corporation but Ngige came on board and began fixing the problem and water started running in Awka Onitsha and Nnewi before he was removed by court. But Obi came and closed water corporation and in fact built an uncompleted shopping mall on one of its treatments plants. He is now asking other people to join him to give water to the North when he left us without water. All in a bid to get the Muslims vote come 2027. There's God oo.

Forget earthquake, if you get to some villages and remote arreas and see the quality of water that people drink, you will cry for them. Even UNICEF, WHO, World bank, etc drills boreholea in Nigeria. All these are because of the failure of our government.
At least 80% of the house in the developed parts of Lagos have borehole. How many would the toyal of that be? Not more than 1,000,000?
