We all know Okudzeto is a hypocrite
No stupid person should blame Okudzeto Ablakwa. Blame the npp, because if Parliament agrees to increases passport fees. It's the ministry of foreign affairs who brought their own fees. Parliament did give that fees to foreign affairs. They foreign affairs set their own fees. So blame the npp. Government.

Why are some complaining about the passport fee of 500 Ghana??? How much do most of you pay to connection men who help you secure visas??? That non is complaining. Having a passport is a luxury and that money can be used to print more Ghana card. If you can pay a “connection man” over $2000 USD for a visa, then you should be able to pay the 500 Ghana.
So when I paid the ¢500 and was issued biometrics, and the chip inbeded is out will they reprint it without new charges ? Or I have to pay another ¢500

Even here in the UK, it has increased from today.
Actually the money these Golo Boys and their conterparts working inside the passport office are pocketing on daily basis are much more higher than the new charges introduced,,besides ordinary Ghanaian usually don,t apply for Passport unless they are ready to travel and truth be told only Rich and Middle class Men and Women will be applying
in the end b,cos poor people always uses route such as Libya,Tunisia etc to reach Abroad and then later applying for a passport when they are fully settled in their final destination above all this is something that we usually applied for every 10 years and not on yearly basis common Ghanaians,sometimes we complain too much

500 cedis for a ten year passport and we are complaining? Aaaaaba.
500 hundred cedis is about 38 dollars so why the complains. The average cost of a passport is about 60 dollars. The US passsport is about 160 dollars, our increment at 500 cedis is about 38 dollars so this complains are not sustainable.
Do your job as a good journalist and ask Ablakwa, was his party not in parliament when the MPs voted? Is Dominic Ayine not in charge of the commitee who worked on this?? Why should the government subsidise this?? You are the same people complaining people are leaving Ghana? Why do you need a passport if your Ghana card is now a valid ID?? Joy news and Ablakwa come again?? stop the hypocrisy. Is it compulsory for anyone to get a passport?? Why don't you look into the cost to the government of producing a passport??
