  1. Let's stay with the facts:

1/Boarding schools are filling in huge gaps
a/ Because of corruption, gov has NOT built new public schools for 40 years. Ideally, every neighborhood should have a kindergarten, an elementary school and a high school. Kenya has a shortfall of schools in the hundreds of thousands.

b/ We do not have the roadspace to add hundreds of thousands of learners going to and from school daily. Traffic gridlocks would be a nightmare.

2/ Boarding school or day school is not the issue. Authorities must be seen to do their job and ensure safety for learners in both boarding and elementary schools.

-Parents must stop being lazy and not only be aware of safety standards, but also speak up relentlessly to force schools to implement safety standards.

Parents, be sober, be vigilant. Stay alert. Be watchful.

3/ As a nation, we must stop being selfish and participate in the collective good, valuing human life, above fat bank accounts and material wealth.

Kenyans need to grow back a conscience and practice love for their neighbor. We need to become humane.

  2. Say as is Government is harvesting souls from young men and woman, Masonic and Demonic is ready feeding themselves, all boarding schools needs to be closed will get worsening

  3. And now some schools have already sent students home after threatening to burn the schools in other parts of the country. It seems it is a spirit of term 3 which needs serious interventions and prayers. May the Lord help these kids.

  4. My heart felt condolences to the families, school and the community. May peace of God locate them all and healing upon those in hospital. Only God knows beyond and only God solution of everything. God have mercy upon the families 😭🙏

  5. MAY THE LORD GIVE THE FAMILIES SOLACE . THIS IS SO SAD . BUT NOW KENYANS CAN YOU SEE WHY BAD GOVERNANCE CAN DO ?. DURING MATIANG'I SCHOOL WERE GIVEN GUIDELINE TO ALWAYS HAVE THE DORMITORY DOORS OPEN AND OPENNING TOWARDS OUTSIDE . BUT THE SCHOOLS DO NOT LISTEN AND THE COUNTY GOVERNMENT DOES NOT FOLLOW UP .

  6. Very sad news. Sorrowful. But kudos for the excellent reporting from that young man in Nyeri. Informative, concise, clear diction and expression. Not very common these days. Very well done.

  7. It's more than 17 burnt beyond recognition why are they lying because they say more than 40 cannot be traced where they are….. no one can be holding someone's child that they don't know until now.

  8. On behalf of myself, parents, teachers and the community send our heartfelt condolences to the Country, Hill school, Kieni in Nyeri of the loss if lives of school children. May God have mercy and especially the serviving children. Parents sorry.

  9. Foolishness by school heads. Every dorm should have matrons and watchmen. No safety standards in kenya buildings. Commercial and schools should follow some escape emergency exit but Kenyans ni corrupt and ujinga tuu . Our systems are dead

  10. Rubbish, Kenya has worst systems and hardly follow them. Wakenya poleni but I have Kenyans abroad and truth be said Kenyans hawana tabia and now look , a school but no night dormitory or house heads or matron? Wakenya shauri yenu. Ujuaji ndio mwingi na Wakenya kujifanya na kizungu na hawana kitu

  11. These Governorment official know how send the condolence but they could prevent all these but they have no time for the poor people they are all useless ONLY God in Heaven we can TRUST AMEN
