  2. Trauma has been so normalized in the black community that we don't even know that we grew up in it. I'm a father that shows my boys love. You wouldn't believe how many times I got mocked, Even by my wife! I grew up as a angry kid ready to get in some s***. So I tell my boys it's okay to feel hurt but it's what you do on a back end that matters. But back to my point, most black people would say I'm raising them like white boys. And to me, there's a problem when showing your kids love equates to raising your kids like white boys.
