This is crazy. The first time i heard in the news Lee Sun-kyun committed suicide, I didn't believe it was suicide. I still don't.
After watching this video, after all the misbehaviours, and "illegal" interrogations, bullying and harassment by the police, what were the lawyers doing?!!!
It is so weird that they made him do repeated tests of his urine and hair. In the USA, if they find are not drugs on you or your property, you will not go to trial. There are jobs where you have to take regular, or. in some cases, random p tests, or you will get fired, and some prisoners on patrol have to do it too. But to go to that extent, on such flimsy evidence, to find out if somebody has a trace of drug in a trace body from months ago is awful.
Also: you keep referring to caffeine as if it were another drug. It is, but obviously, tea and coffee are legal in South Korea. Is there some concentrated form of caffeine there that isn't?
It just seemed to have been marijuana and caffeine that he was accused of taking. We are basically taking about a cup of coffee and a joint here, i.e. a hippy eye-opener. And possibly some kind of sleeping pill, at night, to sleep. And they hounded him to death over it.
Ironically, in North Korea, marijuana is legal.

You can’t because of the rapidity that information travels the globe you’re now subject to people who’s names you’ll never know, faces you’ll never see, and voices you’ll never hear, being the loudest ones to give their opinion whether there’s any merit to it or not. Very sad days with many more to come. I feel for this man’s family and his mates who loved him so. I had a Korean woman who leased a pizza restaurant from us and it’s mind boggling to think that as a nation, peoples, and culture, that’s known for being such gentle, caring, people who are constantly presenting you with the most thoughtful gifts, that a bloody computer and keyboard can literally change the dynamics of centuries of polite behavior in some of the most intelligent people on earth into a blood thirsty mob who play the self appointed role of judge and jury. 😢
