Rescuers contact 11 survivors in collapsed SA building
I hope all that are missing are found alive and get safely rescued. I think shortcuts were made for the building to collapse. What also angers me is the mention of donating water, energy drinks, wine gums surely the government should be giving the rescuers all that and more and not seeking public donations. If not enough personnel and rescue equipment the military or outside specialists should be asked to come and assist.. SA surely has plenty of resources to do this within it's own country but from the sound of this report it's not giving the support, funding, personnel, equipment and I hope I'm wrong in saying that. Let's not forget that all contractors are required to have BEE subcontractors. Often, they do nothing, as the contractor prefers to do the work themselves, but not always. Whoever slipped up, must answer, white or black or purple.
This what happens when you hire people that have no qualifications.
