She was perfection in that role! Her line " don't trade places wit what I've been tru" pops in my head all the time.
Oprah in that movie was pure magic. That story is just everything.
I love this so much. As a black woman, who IS an American, I STILL get what Thandie was saying about how Oprah (along with Whoopie) really changed what I thought a successful actress could look like. Even with me seeing it nearly a decade after its release that still rang true to me.
