Actually, you need to be emotional and have a handle on what emotions you're feeling so that you can be logical.
She is likely more logical because she can can identify and express her emotions.

It seems like he says sorry to shut her down….how are you apologizing when you don't know what you did? People need to express the impact of your actions.
