For me, I feel that Oba Adeyeye can attend any function he chooses to attend. There is difference between Ooni, Onii or Oba Adeyeye. Ooni is both a spiritual stool and deity while the present occupant of the office is Oba Adeyeye. Even if Oba Adeyeye leaves the Palace for Lagos for instance, the Ooni remains permanently in the Palace in Ile – Ife. Therefore, to me, Ooni Adeyeye is free to attended any function.
