@hernanbalieiro

Congratulations!! You are an incredible couple, who made an incredible trip and left us with an incredible lesson. For me, you are a great example to follow, thank you for that.

@aislingbooks

I agree wholeheartedly with what you've seen and say here. When I was younger I worked for a world relief organisation with the philosophy that you can give a man (woman or child) a pole instead of just a fish then s/he can fish for him- or herself.
Later my degrees allowed me to end up teaching internationally. And I think that education – along with the supplies for its implementation – is key to helping people help themselves instead of being dependent on other nations who are enabling them.
It warms my heart to see educated individuals returning to their African countries and investing in their communities with startups. What Botswana is now doing, taking over ownership of these diamond companies and learning the crafts of the trade themselves instead of outsourcing to countries like India or Belgium is wonderful to hear!

My heroes Darina & Kurt! ❤️ Two adventurous spirits having fun together and exploring the world. So fantastic that you dreamt of doing such a great trip and that you made it a reality!! Well done to you both for living as you are (when you can) and for exposing the truth of your experience of the continent of Africa! A wonderful watch 😎🏆

@2wheelsrbest327

Thank you all for producing such a great entertaining video. How you cycled all that way is amazing. As for cycling through areas where there are wild animals I find it difficult enough riding past stray dogs. It always amazes me that the poorest people always seem so welcoming. I find it interesting that the two ladies who clearly have grown up out there still yearned for a better life. I can understand why and it just rattles me that we have people walking about wearing watches that are worth more than a years education or a home out there could be bought for less. I loved your explanation for why Foreign Aid may not be the answer to the problems they face. Yon now have another Sub. Finally Kurt you do know your risking your life disagreeing with Darina who is a red haired Irish lady don't you ! regards Ted

Genius! Kurt + Darina, a couple who ride through life in the same direction, share the same passions and show us how far you can go with respect, solidarity and love.
