The gymnasts and the French team didn't "fumble" anything, dont even put the idea out there that the althletes were responsible for this. The blame rests on the French Gymnastics Federation- they are the ones who fucked this up, they are the ones to blame. Hold the FGF accountable and watch your words- you're spreading misinformation.

And that’s the difference between the U.S. and other countries. In the U.S, athletes have to train on their own with private or professional coaches and trainers at their own cost. All other countries, athletes are sponsored and controlled by their governments
I don’t remembrer exactly what she declared at that interview, but I was sure she was going to win a medal at the Olympics when I heard her say a few words that were so simple and yet so full of wisdom.
Nobody "failed" her. Rules change. It's called life. She found a way to still compete and keep her coach. She's not a "victim" because rules change.
Where I live they changed the lanes with new construction on New York Ave. While the city considers it an improvement , I hate it. So if I choose to drive a different route to work, I'm not some victim for having to do so.
Best part is that the French showed her great support that day, and throughout the whole thing during the Olympics. No one hates on the French better than the French.
On top of that, she placed 5th in the Individual All Around Final behind Biles, Andrade, Lee, and D’Amato. The French team failed to qualify for the Team Final, failed to qualify anyone to the Individual All Around Final, and failed to qualify for any of the Individual Apparatus Finals, leaving the French fans with Nemour as the one they can cheer on.
