The brutal killing of these soldiers has brought back memories of Odi and the reprisal attack that followed. The military must obey the president’s directives and go after the killers not the community

  1. Who said to you that the rules of engagement is different???. If you don't know, ask the people of the Northeast what the military is doing whenever if the military is killed

  2. However, if military men not retired (still in service) built houses in either Odi and Okuama have their houses distroyed, because something happened to soldiers in their home town. Of what benefit does it has on the serving soldiers having their houses distroyed?

  3. ABATI is always on the side of the government in the detriment of ordinary Nigeria. In the global north country, they will investigate and arrest the culprits. They don't gi around killing innocent people. The question to ask, why is Army used to settle a land dispute?

  4. Since military have been killed in the north before, are you suggesting that the military should allow these people to go Scot free? this is an endorsement of the killing of our military by southern leaders.

  5. Then tell your youths to behave like humans for once.bunch of hypocrites and tribalistic one.is it because most of the military are from the north?all these are cover up to stop the military from arresting the perpetrators because you guys are fully in support of them.

  6. I don't understand why Mr. Abati will clearly assume that the Rtd officer did not show enough sympathy to the fallen officers and men in his responses…

The Rtd officer reaction specifically to the question Bimba asked him. And his responses were clear and never in dispute. The force at which the military exercise in situations like this in SouthEast and other parts of Nigeria is not the same that applies in the North of Nigeria… Everybody knows this to be the fact, except we don't want to tell ourselves the truth…

There are criminal and mischievous elements everywhere in the communities across that nation, therefore you can not wipe out an entire community because of the offences of few criminals…

Maybe as a presenter, Imagine if you are from odi community perhaps you will understand the situation better…

    I don't understand Dr. Abati sometimes…

  7. Sorry to say so sir I'm from northeast so do you want to tell me when i saws some people's planning to kill my country soldiers in my presence and keep quiet it sounds stupidity to myself knowledge

  8. Gentlemen, let's face reality. nigeria is a lawless country sponsored by those who call themselves leaders. A country where a policeman or military man could threaten a citizen with a gun because of refusal to offer them bribes. A policeman threatened to kill a civilian and claimed nothing would happen to him. So many situations like that have happened and no body was held accountable. Now tell me how citizens can trust people who are trained to protect them but rather turn their guns against them. This is where the problem lies once the government makes people understand that they cannot take the laws into their hands, then and only then, people will realize that nobody is above the law including the president. The country will start turning a new leaf. Everyone can talk until he/she turns blue in the face. Without proper implementation of the law, everything the country does, is a waste of time and resources.

  9. Which do we believe?
The military went there on peace mission.
They went there to rescue three abducted persons or colleagues.
They went there to search for their colleagues earler sent to the community.
