I saw this play live a year or so ago It was pure theatrical delight.
Can anyone recommend what age range I’m this would be acceptable for? I have been reading the Andrew Matthews/Tony Ross adaptations of Shakespeare with my daughter and we read Antony & Cleopatra a few weeks ago. I don’t want her to watch it if it’s too inappropriate for her.
Fabulous acting and direction.
This looks great, but ugh! I don’t want to be negative, but I have to say it…Why is it when they have a black actor in one of these roles, they often make it modern? I’m a traditionalist, and it irks the hell out of me not to see the actors in the garb of the actual time period. Brown people did exist before the 1920’s you know (and yes, in Europe too)…and NOT AS SLAVES!!!
This looks so intriguing. I don't want to miss the show.
We will see Hamlet with Benedict Cumberbatch here? Pleaseee!!!!
Read this play and thought it was dull. I hope it's much better when performed.
looking forward to watching his. I feel grateful to the National Theatre
