At independence in 1963 the country was left at the hands of Mzee Kenyatta, Jaramogi Odinga and Tom Mboya and everything started on a very good footing until Kenyatta told Jaramogi a man of integrity that well let us divide the spoils. During colonization the British brought in white settlers from England to occupy the so called white Highlands mainly in the Rift Valley and displaced the Kelenjins and Masais population from their ancestral lands to give way for the white settlers and Jaramogi wanted them to be resettled back while Kenyatta's idea was of let's grab large tracks of land and divide among ourselves and also bring in the Luos and Kikuyus from Nyanza and MT. Kenya regions to occupy the vacated lands. For Mboya, Mzee Kenyatta was always right but Jaramogi refused and they parted ways. Kenyatta went ahead to settle the Kikuyus in the Right Valley in Nakuru farmlands and places like Njoro Molo Elburgon Burnt Forest Nyandarua/Nyahururu and parts of the present day Uashin Gishu county etc. As if this was not enough Mzee Kenyatta went ahead to also settle his people in the coastal region in places like Ramisi Msambweni Lunga Lunga and Mpeketoni both in Kwale and Lamu county. In short this gave birth to the present day anti Odingaism anti Luos and Railaphobia among the Kikuyus because they threatened their very existence in their new found lands and that should Odinga ascend to power he will embark on a land expropriation scheme to return their acquired lands to the rightful owners the Kelenjins and Masais. To this end Mzee Kenyatta and Kikuyu elders initiated an oath that was administered to all Kikuyus in the name of protecting their presidency and blocking Jaramogi and the Luos from ascending to the presidency at all costs and this typically made the Luos the enemy of the Kikuyus to date. Unfortunately Kenyans being so stupid as they are you find that most Kelenjins are also Anti Odingaism while Jaramogi paid a price for standing for their cause while majority of the Kikuyus can't give any reason why they are Anti Odingaism or why they are suffering from Railaphobia. They voted for Ruto en masse not bcoz they loved him but bcoz Raila was not an option but the reason why most of them still don't know 😭
