Non-aligned summit concludes as member countries call for a ceasefire in Gaza
The so-called Non-Aligned Movement of Developing Countries, known as NAM, is calling for a ceasefire in Gaza and for aid to flow into the strip without any restrictions. The statement came on the last day of this year’s NAM Summit.

Aujourd'hui ce seront les palestiniens qui décideront de leurs sorts et évidemment pour une indépendance et de liberté définitivement c'est la première chose à faire avec un retracage pour relier Gaza à la Cisjordanie pour ne plus dépendre de l'autorisation de passage… pas normale qu'ils soient obligés d'être soumis sur leurs propres territoires.
Why is it, that everyone else is trying to make decisions for the people of Palestine? Just for once, can they not have their full autonomy in saying what they actually want? It seems to be an intellectual discussion for so many, but when you have a brutal occupier like Israel, what state would Palestine get? Probably even less land, than has had already been stolen from them over the last 75 years. Palestine must be free, and their voices need to be at the table to decide what going forward looks like. Not just one or two representatives – but the people of Palestine should have their full rights of self-determination.
While I agree, I find it interesting how “Non aligned” countries are more active and seem to be taking a proactive role in this conflict rather than Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, which they seem to largely ignore…
Why is the UN secretary general in a NAL summit ?
He did not achieve peace or ceasefire as secretary of UN why is he giving here a speech ?

If the non aligned movement, the UN general assembly have all called for cease fire, then the part of international community that has not called for cease fire is the team of US UK EU and Israel leaders, indeed the US UK EU and Israel leaders have been the problem of Palestinians since 1917 Balfour declaration, when referring to international community failed Palestinians, it is the team of US UK EU and Israel leaders past and present that have failed Palestinians
