Despite government claims that no lives have been lost, Amnesty International reports 22 deaths among protesters. As similar frustrations spread…

Economic turmoil and many other things only caused by bribery corruption by government officials nothing more…leaving the people in debt causing them to act the way their government act’s…
Theres a thief and a fraud sitting in the Presidency. He is unable to perform because he is smart enough and not well equipped in general to do the job much like Buhari, but this is worse because Nigerians massively did not vote for him. He has caused many issues to become worse.
Democracy has been taken away from Nigerians – there is greed, corruption, crime, and hunger. Nigeria really needed the worlds help in this past election and because they didn’t get it – this is the result.
I told the US officials who congratulated Tinubu to open its borders and get those visas ready because there will be many Nigerians needing to claim asylum here. I’m so disappointed in this country for not condemning, and not stepping in to make these people do the right thing. They had boots on the ground and were meddling anyway – why not make them do the right thing?
It's spiritual
Price of gasoline going up will create inflation. At least their president didn't insult the Saudi crown prince.
Nigeria is a country that, under the right leadership, should be as prosperous as oil producing Arab countries.
We have a tyrant as a democratic president, privatising Nigerians natural resources for himself and cabinet members, Nigerians have to wake up because this is ridiculous the country is bleeding right now, this tyranny has to stop✊🏿🇳🇬
Who is a Nigerian? What language does Nigeria speak? Scam
Nigeria is a mere geographical expression, not a nation.
British speak English, france speak French, Poland speak Polish and so on.
You have a nation when people speak the same language and have the same cultural values and beliefs ( Google definition of a nation)
Nigeria isn't a nation but a scam artificial country. It's a business centre and corruption epicentre.
Imagine, British lordluggard's girlfriend named the country Nigeria in 1914, and various kingdoms and nations were forcefully amalgamated for British economic gain.
British did what they could to save their empire business whilst few elite liegerian enriched themselves.
If you answered Nigerian, you're doomed, still being scammed, ignorant, and perhaps deluded.
Many developed countries of the world know that Nigeria isn't a legitimate country but a place to still wealth and resources.
Allow brilliant Biafran to have their own nation, and also let indigenous yoruba go back to their formal Yoruba Kingdoms nation hood. Hausa can form Arewa nation.
These new nations would better use their resources and develop like many European countries.
The message is simple "resistance!!!"
Продовольственная проблема!
are you going to work here in the PH after you graduate?
Mister Minister, is the government not responsible to protect lives and property while people have peaceful protests?
Tinubu is the best President of Nigeria….The West wants to overthrow Tinubu.
My problem with this interview is that the arguments against the government felt very I'll defined and generic. Saying the economy grew from the spending cuts but the money all went to politicians feels like a bit of a blanket statement. Don't get me wrong, that's certainly not out of character for a politician, but some more direct examples instead of emotion stimulating statements would have been nice.
Blaming corruption and bad governance is. a favourite pastime catered by the mass media to millions of consumers. All good.
More importantly, such entertainment helps distract from the real issues of corporate greed and mendacity.
Nigeria's resources are exploited by western oligarchs and cartels.
Farming is not profitable because poisonous cheap alternative foods fill the markets, from packet noodles to fizzy sugar water and many more.
Freely sold and heavily promoted to they are as dangerous if not more dangerous than alcohol and tobacco.
The solution starts with banning or prohibitively taxing highly processed food as being dangerous to health. Corporations like Nestle and Damon are among major culprits.
In the absence of fake food real food will find a fair price.
Corruption overruled the countries destiny
Ibrahim babangida and Buhari stole our money store them in swiss and arab banks
I often see news reports suggesting that Nigeria's population will grow to be five times its current size by the end of the century. Who actually thinks that will come to be? What a nightmare if it does.
Politicians will always be politicians. They are never demure
Praying for everyday, low-income Nigerians. Neocolonialism, colonialism, and corruption is killing innocent kin. It's so sad to see so much unnecessary suffering because of corporate greed.
Nigeria exports oil then imports refined petrol even from a refinery in a tiny European state like Malta. Crazy how poorly run it is.
That's what you get (corruption/poverty & insecurity) when the judiciary uses a technicality ruling to install a drug lord as the president of any nation.
Ibos did not join…why?
What happens in Nigeria is a tragedy for the whole continent of Africa. We need Nigerian leaders who seek the interests of all Nigerians and not just themselved. Just saying things will get better does not mean that things will get better. The Tinubu government's policies are making Nigerians poorer.
If you need the truth about situation in Nigeria ask the masses not politicians.
I forgot Nigerian prisedent name😂
BY DESIGN THIS STUPIDITY; A PURE CONTROL AND MANIPULATION TACTIC TO STOP THE NATION BEING THE AFRICAN GIANT. ITS A COLD WAR FOR UNDER DEVELOPMENT BY PUPPETS AND THEIR MASTERS🫵🏾✊🏾‼️🧨
Good work Deji
If 'government is doing everything' according to this minister, I cannot fathom how they missed to, first, solve the hunger problems?
It is a happy, well-fed, citizen that puts his hand to the plough. To build a Nigeria where 'no man is oppressed'. The first step of good governance is to define your problems with honesty. Not service capitalist markets, and avaricious foreign contracts that mean you cannot even buy your own oil to refine.
Common sense is possible.
Reduce the import bill- thats the problem.
Invest in solar energy
The number ONE problem with Nigerians is they blame the government for everything going wrong in the country. 100 million people and only the leaders that are doing wrong?
Biafra country must get freedom Nigeria colony similar freedom my country somaliland seeks
I remember telling Nigerians that cutting the gas subsidies would make things worst but they could not understand.
Nigerians busy robbing and scamming each other- this reduces the production of food and other basic products. So they are depending on foreign foods and goods. Of course imported goods will be expensive as prices of food has gone up worldwide. Crime and corruption of the people are the problem- they do as they please and then will blame the government for the issues. Then they will protest and break into people businesses, loot, destroy public infrastructure.
Nigerians protesting is only making things worst. Rather than protest, each Nigerian need to evaluate their behavior. You cannot set fire to your house and then complain about being homeless. Stop protesting and go grow food.
We need to open our eyes and see the truth of the matter. First of all, current president Tinubu own a refineries in Malta all Nigerian fuel is taking there, only to be return to sell again at higher price, it's only the president who subsidized himself.
Intentional devaluation of Naira, this government allows Naira to enjoy a free fall, that crushed the currencies and is next to useless.
Insurgencies, current security stance is more backing to the government than protecting lives and properties of citizens.
Conclusively, this administration is a shame for all Nigerian.
They aren’t saying anything about the instigators amongst those protesters
That’s what happens when you allow Russian and Chinese misinformation campaigns run free within your nation
End 1999 constitution and return to Regional autonomy Abuja should be center for policies making, we can't be a country but a united union. We can be called by the oldest clan … "IDU Union" 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Exactly in Kano the ruling party, with the direction of the APC chairman deployed the looters during the protest
Amazing how much oil this country has yet bankrupt 😂😂
You can't expect a good leader while you have a bad education infrastructure
…..one of the those interviewed said: "there should be free importation of goods". REALLY?!!!
…..with so many people looking for jobs already!
People are not even aware; that, subsidy is still very much on petroleum pump price (the price in all our neighboring countries is triple).
The problem with our economy is multifaceted…… Nigerians are simply too corrupt!
Why are legislators paying themselves ridiculous renumeration?
TINUBU INHERITED AN ECONOMY IN A DEPLORABLE CONDITION. HE'S GOING TO REVIVED IT BUT NOT WITHOUT SOME STRICT ECONOMY POLICIES.
I HAVE HOPE IN HIS GOVT. WE SHALL ALL SMILE ON THE LONG RUN IF WE CAN SUPPORT HIM IN PRAYERS & ACTS.
A SINGLE FINGER CAN'T PUT A LOAD ON THE HEAD!!
TINUBU CAN'T REVIVED NIGERIA WITHOUT THE SUPPORT OF THE GOVERNORS. THEY ALL RECEIVED ALLOCATONS MEANT FOR THEIR PEOPLE, WHAT ARE THEY DOING WITH THE MONEY? THE LAND BELONG TO THE STATE, WHERE ARE THE STATE FARMING VILLAGES IN YOUR STATE?
THE SOUTHWEST GOVERNORS WERE GIVEN LOANS TO NIGERIA IN THOSE DAYS WITHOUT HAVING OIL. YORUBA GOVERNORS, WHERE IS OUR AGRICULTURAL MIGHT?
Ahmed Idris you are afraid of asking the burning questions. You are giving the Minister easy way pass. And you know that he is laying to Nigerians.
Consumer subsidies are almost always a bad idea, but the government needs to find an efficient alternative approach to encourage positive/productive enterprises, and to aid lower income folks meet basic needs & seek personal improvements. High Population growth is also a demographic stressor.,
I’m often impressed with Nigeria, at least with some factions, a lot of potential exists there. Outside commentators often suggest an easy solution exists in splitting the country, but I think if an easy solution was available, it would have occurred already. The structure of the government/Constitution might need to be reformulated. We all need to demand better of our governments & ourselves, we can continue to socially evolve in a positive & just manner. Best of self made luck to Nigeria!
The fact is this administration has done the highest amount of damage it can in one year. They need to realize they have used all their get-out-of-jail cards, cause anything they do from now on that further makes the price of things worse would be met with great hostility.
The looting needs to stop
Only Allah along can save Nigeria from these corrupt leaders 😢.
May almighty Allah save Nigeria 🇳🇬
