Nigerian First Lady Oluremi Tinubu's Moral Message Turns Into Blame & Insulting Tribalism

Phillip Scott reports on Nigerian First Lady Oluremi Tinubu calling out Meghan Markle for how she was dressed on her recent trip to the nation. In her speech, Tinubu blamed US entertainers for how Nigerian women dress. On top of that, she started becoming tribal and insulting not only Meghan Markle but Black Americans as a whole.

  1. Malume Phil, u mentioned how Nigerians japa to the US, Canada n the UK n create issues for u'all but no mention of how they do the same when they japa to South Africa? We're labeled as xenophobic n un-African when we talk about the same issues u'all talk about just cos we share the same continent as Nigerians? Mostly illegal japas from west Africa as well as east Africa r already straining our resources in South Africa.

I really wish u could get out of the Julius Malema echo-chamber. Julius has a shady past that pan-Africanists conveniently overlook (google "Julius Malema Adriano Mazzotti"). Sure he talks a great talk when it comes to whyt supremacy n we're definitely on his side when it comes to that. However a lot of us critical thinking South Africans r not on-board with his open border policy. U mentioned how well South Africa is doin compared to Nigeria n other African countries. This Pan-Africanist dream of Julius will be at the detriment n expense of us South Africans n our country. U mentioned how other African countries should get rid of their puppet leaders which is very correct. What will the result of a "united Africa" be (at the expense of South Africa) if those same leaders r still in place? They'll drag down our country as well n the legacy our parents fought n died for. Unlike us, they've had an over 60 year headstart of independence with very little to show for it. Their fight should be changin their mindset n leadership. Our fight as South Africans should be gettin even more of our stolen wealth back from the colonial minority. When we r both makin progress in these 2 agendas, then we can talk about uniting Africa with open borders.

I swear to God, as patriotic as I am. As much as I love my country, I will also become a japa like Nigerians. If Julius Malema becomes president and/or gains significant power in the country, I will also go back to the overseas country I once lived at for a few years n hardly ever come back. A lot of non-South African Africans, if u go to the right social media circles, r just salivating at the thought of Julius becoming president telling us how much they look forward to "raping" n "takin what they want" from South Africa if that happens. A lot of South Africans will be forced to do the same for their own survival.

  2. As a Nigerian I am telling you that any Black person who believes they originated from Africa or Nigeria does not need the permission of anyone – whoever they are – to come to Nigeria.

  3. I believe her daughter is a model who walks the runway in some very revealing clothes. So maybe she was talking to a select group. Public speaking is not always easy. Foot in mouth is real.

  4. You know, many of us would like to blame the failure on the continent on white people, but the truth of the matter is, they never could have done the damage they have done without those Africans in power who allowed it. They enjoy looking down on their brothers and sisters. Just like the whites like looking down on Blacks. There will never be.a unified or progressive Africa for as long as these people hold power. It will take the unity, the courage, and the determination of the young people to do something about them. The Africa that the people want is in the vision of the youth. B1✊🏿

  5. Me, personally, I wouldn’t move to Africa/Nigeria if they welcomed me with open arms. Im an AMERICAN! WE, as Black Americans, have invested over 400 years of BLOOD, SWEAT, TEARS, & TURMOIL in this country. Heck, WE built this place! UR WELCOME! 🇺🇸

  6. I really hope this doesn't turn into a "Bash Nigeria" fest.
She's trying to pacify the Meghan-haters who "helped" her husband become "president".
As you can see, most Nigerians warmly welcomed the Royal couple, and honoured the Duchess with a chieftancy title.
So the lady is NOT speaking for all Nigerians.

  7. By the way, Meghan Markle is a dark skin European woman, whose father is a European and mother an Y'sraelites woman from one those Caribbean Island. Just like Bob Marley and all his children are dark skin Europeans.

  8. Brother Phil, when you come to the reality that we have ancient enemies from the biblical historical times, many things that people on the continent of Africa say will only enlighten you; to who your enemies are!.

  9. She basically insinuated the truth. She’s saying black Americans are just that, black Americans. We were on this land for decades before transatlantic slavery which means our ancestors claimed and settled on this land as the aboriginals here. To say we come from Africa is equivalent to saying you we really don’t know where we come from and that’s basically what she’s saying. Obviously she also knows and insinuating that we not them and they ain’t us.

  10. Phil, she felt snubbed because Megan was the center of focus and upstaged her. Furthermore, a lot of Africans have a poverty complex. The “poverty/backwardness” stigma creates a deep wound of insecurity and an inferiority complex in them. They overcompensate for it with the whole “culture” thing. It’s their security blanket. That’s why they’ll always go to the “slavery” thing and “you don’t know where you’re from” thing with us Foundational American Blacks. But it doesn’t work anymore since we’re delineating.

  11. Our very EXISTENCE disturbs Nigerians like her. The white man, Asian man, Arabs, and Chinese know about Nigeria itself. Everybody knows about Nigeria. The very cradle of self hatred. Corrupt, dodgy, and weak minded. Africa is a brilliant hoste, but a BASTARD MOTHER…

  13. To be Clear, I am NOT Addressing any Sneak Dis from Africa towards Anything, or Anyone Associated with the British Crown. (Aka The OG Colonizers)
I am Addressing Shots, and Sneak Dissing of the Establishment, and Rich Culture of Black Americans.
Black Americans are Not New to this Country. Even Slavery lasted for Over 400 Years. Then There's the Centuries Prior to that. That's More than Enough Time to Build a Whole Nation. There's Countries that are Younger than The Black American Community, and No One Would Dare Fix their Mouths to Throw Shots at Them. Our Nation, and Legacies are Well Rooted, and Established in the Soil of North America. And We Have Many Scholarships to Elaborate on Our History in Africa, and America.
Black Americans Should Be Respected, and Revered as the Imitated, and Inspiration that We Are.
    Not Constantly Hated, and Attacked.
