In Nigeria, businesses are counting losses from 10-day-long nationwide protests against the rising cost of living. The demonstrations turned violent in many states, resulting in the deaths of at least 22 people, a loss of income, and the destruction of property.

So basically the people are worse off. Protest are an important tool for change but if the protesters don’t stop the looters from ruining their communities/businesses/supples then they are just going backwards. Because trust me, the politicians and their cronies will be eating perfectly fine even after you allow the your food supply to be destroyed
