  1. Hi , "where is the ( church ) money going ? " My humble guess is to support the relatives of the elders and pastors who stay in the West , back home in Africa. What do you think ? Do they give account on financial matters ? If not, there is most likely something wrong. Greetings Conny

  2. Hi, I still remember an incident where I observed an African mother with a small boy breastfeeding. I presume she was under a lot of stress, but I was shocked to see how hostile she looked and shouted at him , while giving him milk. It is a pity, that I didn't have the courage to talk to her in a respectful way to turn from her wrong path. Even after many years, I still think about the boy and how he will hate
women or at least be confused with the opposite sxx. Greetings Conny

  3. Interesting, sounds very similar to current status of African Americans. Brother, you are doing good work and have interesting conversations. Church is a business and I hate to say, a scam. Many African American communities seem to have a church on every corner but the communities are poor and barely hanging on. I am a son of a pastor. There is infrastructure here, it needs support and good will, things are heading for a break through but we must set aside our biases… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CiFwlB44P0I Enjoy!

  4. I moved to the UK two years ago and this is one of the things I observed. I was so concerned when an Afro Caribbean store opened recently in central Reading and the owner is Asian. Other than two other Afro stores there seems to be no black owned businesses or stores around. Yet most cleaners in my gym and office are black. We need to come together and function as a unit to help each other. I discovered just yesterday a very nice place in Reading called ‘alliance for cohesion and racial equality’. This is funded by the Borough and run by Africans to address various issues that concerns us. Google them and identify with them if you are around reading please. I am sure there are similar establishment in other areas. It’s not just by church that we should come together abeg. Peace

  5. Very enlightening and interesting to watch. Great job as always. The essence of religion is no longer what its meant to be especially in the African community, very discouraging this days.
I also think the African community should try to be more inclusive in communities they live and integrate more.

  6. Great topic phrankkeen. As for me and my husband despite our 9-5 work we both make sure we get involved with our children's be it parents meeting, dropping and picking up we both share this. Every day I sit down with my daughter to talk about her activities school and my 4yr old. Church I dont believe in so instead we take our children out on weekends to visit places within london and every summer we go away for family holidays creating lifetime memories for them.

  7. Phranklin another great video but I have a question you know church is not the most important it is having a personal relationship with God. Will be interesting to hear your full story. Religion is just one aspect of life and good to get a balance, when people put everything on religion is where there is a problem. Great points made to get good results we have to follow the process, raising awesome, whole and happy children requires being intentional and spending quality time. A lot of parents don’t really know their children look at the news recently on violence in London.

  8. Phrankleen dear.  Please, please, PLEASE open a church in London or wherever you are in the UK.  I know it will be the biggest and most productive by the end of year one of establishment. Sensible minded Nigerians would come out of hiding.

  9. There is no such thing as a hyphenated Nigerian.A Nigerian is a Nigerian regardless of geographical birth place, however having lived in both UK and US and love your fresh insight about real life and evolution of the Nigerian psyche at home and abroad it is a fractured relationship here in the US in many ways. I wont go into details here but see this video as an opportunity to forge bonds and broaden your platform building bridges across the pond with "Breaking Brown "Founder Yvette Carnell and Attorney Antonio Moore "Tone Talks"They pioneered the ADOS movement here in the US and highlights particularly I'm African not AKATA.
I would love to see you all link up and have an uncomfortable but healing dialogue since the world doesn't really care where we're born but by the content of our character.
Keep up the good work. You are truly a refreshing voice speaking truth to power on Nigerians at home and in the Diaspora.
    Peace & Blessings

  10. "Church" is now a business venture.
The western world is racist. They hate immigrants. Period.
Africans are too selfish and competitive to be a collective unit.

  11. Religion was invented by colonialism to enslave, subjugate African continent, and name God, Was created from human logical mind- is for enslavement of humanity. Divinity is within us all, we are one with creation. Religion is fraud and distraction from who we are- eternal being.

  12. People forget that's we're all called by God to be good stewards of everything God gave us. Stewardship is not taught in churches. The answer to having a functional African family is be a good steward (manager) of your home, family relationships, finances, and health. In practice, people will spend hours upon hours at church as a form as escapism/socialising learning nothing to keep the family together, communicate reasonable, bond together as spouses, or manage money as God instructs.

  13. I have started my business based on this particular issue. I have come to the conclusion that, children, especially boys, need to be taught from a very young age(from 7) financial literacy, nuances of the system, what building mean and what that looks like (from relationships to business owners) and many more other things. This is because, if men were prepared from an early age that they don't have that much time and understand what their role is, by the time they get to 23 years max, they should own a home and have some money in the bank already. Therefore, when he gets a wife, she's not obligated to go out to work.
Children are better off when they have full attention and live with two functioning parents in the household. To have two functioning parents in the household, MEN NEED TO BE PROVIDING, WOMEN NEED TO BE NURTURING (Nature has already written the rules and law, I don't understand why we want to rewrite it).

  14. Church church everywhere..it is sickening..

A black man in my neighbourhood, each time meet him ,he always invite me to his church.

I told him man I m an assistant pastor too in my church (even when I don’t even attend any ).He kept on asking me to come to his church ,nowadays he don’t even say hello to me anymore

    I smiled in my mind

    Awon akosi be ro …Ole

  15. Great topic. There needs to be some sort of awareness program created to educate and enlighten our people who migrate into Europe (UK). The cultural shock and the laws take people unawares and how sad it is that families are being ripped apart and innocent kids torn away from loving families and destroyed. This problem is huge and something needs to be done.

  16. I made the same assertion that Yeewande made in another video of yours. We need to embrace that sense of community that we had back in Nigeria. When we got here, we embraced the very individualistic western ways which hasn’t really serve us well. We need to support one another in our quest to bring up our kids. its very sad to see the way our kids are treated by people in the school system. As parents, we need to have an open door policy when it comes to our kids. Our kids should feel like they are able to tell us anything without being judged or shut down or being preached to.

  17. Phrankleen mate, the topic discussed is deeply rooted. Sometimes and if not at all times it 'throws' a lot of our people!
Your "co-pilot" today (the lady) is very direct and speaks the mind of a lot people in our society. Excellent.
In addition to the points mentioned, parents must set time aside and get more involved in their children welfare on a day-to-day basis. Discipline has to be tough – love and firm to achieve success.
Guy, thanks a lot for this episode. Cheers.

  18. This conversation is enlightening and an eye opener . Churches are operated under tax free shelters , they are federally tax exempt under 501 c 3 , one of 29 and are non profit organizations . Imagine the fact that wherever there are numerous churches , the surrounding areas where the members live are impoverished and crime ridden and socially ill . Brooklyn , New York was/is considered the City Of Churches since it's inception . It seems as if this is true globally concerning Black people .

  19. These are the Issues of MOST Black people around the world. I am from the States and The African American Have the exact same issues but With one exception: Anything that we build The White racist society that we live in will Destroy it unless it benefits them.😥
