As a Ghanaian, I see Nigeria as the most useless when it comes to leadership in the region especially this current president.
Chukwuemeka is definitely detached from reality. How can we allow such brainless people to occupy strategic people. Ecowas was also co founded by " junta" who were then in power in Niger Mali and Burkina faso. It's a pity when so called intellectual do the bidding of western power to the detriment of their own people. If he is not intentionally telling lies then I will say he is not competent for the position he occupies. He sounds like a puppet.

Congratulations to these countries. I expect the other serious member states to quit the ECOWAS with immediate effects.
The African youths are now fully aware that the ECOWAS is working and promoting the interests of their colonial masters and not addressing the challenges of their citizens. I expect more countries to quit in the coming weeks and months to show that they are working for Africans, not the West.
Just give thise countries a few years, it's citizens will start complaining about massive military brutalities and corruption.

Democratic Rule. Which of the countries in West Africa is practicing the so called democracy? In Ghana we vote but that's not democracy. Its just a business where votes are bought and sold openly.

The Sahel alliance countries have exited the regional organization, as it no longer serves them.
What sense does it make to expect a group that has been sanctioned and betrayed by its Afrikan regional neighbors to stay?
Those countries terminated the exploitative contracts that have been used to defraud their populations for decades?
It is deceitful for those talking restoration, to pretend as if restoration of those contracts is not also included.
Especially when such a decision would not even depend on their initiative but that of the France that is calling their shots.
As an African, ECOWAS threatening military intervention in Niger surprised me. To the benefit of who, Nigeriens or colonialists? Good that they exited from ECOWAS and formed their own Sahel alliance. I have a big respect especially for Ibrahim Traore of Burkina Faso. He is a visionary leader.
