Nigerians are eagerly waiting for P/H refinery to start production this month as promised.Failure to do that will be a disgrace to d company and d country.
Nigeria is a Democratic government Country but don't practice Democracy or maybe don't know what is Democracy
Shame!
So you people will call this nonsense democracy
But there's no freedom of speech in Nigeria as far as the whole world know! A Country when you express your self or your mind you will be prosecuted killed or jailed Even in democracy Nigeria still a dictatorship when will the good citizens of Nigeria will be able to speak freely criticize the president or his administration or politicians whenever you feel they wron without getting in trouble for speaking 🔊 up?
Gov. Nwifuru has constituted a committee that'll oversee the selection of beneficiaries of the N1million business empowerment fund for 100 persons in each LGA and disbursement of the money to them. Names of the members of the committee include:
1.Her Excellency the deputy governor, Patricia Obila
2. Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, Ebonyi APC State Chairman
3. Sen. Engr Ken Eze, Senator representing Ebonyi Central Zone
4. Rt Hon. Moses Ije Odunwa, Speaker, Ebonyi State House of Assembly
5. Hon. Emma Uguru, member, House of Reps for Abakaliki/Izzi constituency
6. Mrs Ann Aligwe, Commissioner for Human Capital Development
7. Chief Philip Ogbonnaya Okorie, Commissioner for Inter-party Affairs
8. Comrade Chinedu Emerike, National President, Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru (FON) Movement
9. Comr. Joshua Nwafor, S.A to the Governor on Students Affairs.
One thing noticeable here is that those who messed the first tranche of the project up didn't make this list as they ought to have continued after the botched first one.
This means that we're right in our claims of malfeasance characterizing the first one after all. But it's a discussion for another day.
Well, the governor has chosen those he feels have what it takes to manage the project, but if one should criticize the list of persons involved here, one may have to say that it's a political outing aimed at settling people who campaigned in 2023, but have not been captured in the appointments so far made.
One, the involvement of the APC state chairman and the governor's campaign organization's leader says it all. These are sources the names will come from including from students union ragtag players.
This was why the name of the SA on students affairs was added. The addition of the Commissioner for Inter-party Affairs is a pointer to the fact that people who played anti party in their political parties for the APC in the 2023 polls shall be captured and compensated.
Some members of other parties played spoiler games in their own parties to pave the way for the APC. It's the time for their lips to lick oil.
The involvement of the Speaker of the House of Assembly is to convey the slots for all the House of Assembly members to them. The Speaker knows nothing about empowerment as he has never empowered anybody for the first time.
The reason for attempts to impeach him two times was because the members alleged that he was not giving them what was due to them.
How then can a person like this be in a committee meant to empower the poor? Should he give what he does not have? Just two days ago, the member of the House of Reps here captured shared 10 bags of fertilizer to each ward in Izzi & Abakaliki LGAs as incentive for farmers. Each ward has quite over 1,000 farmers. One wonders what 10 bags of fertilizer could do for them.
Is this the kind of a man that can now oversee a transparent empowerment project? The inclusion of Ann Aligwe was just that her ministry is directly involved. The woman knows nothing about human capital development.
It's more like fulfilling all righteousness.
The deputy governor's involvement was just to keep her office busy. For Sen. Ken Eze, he's just there to play a complementary role. I pray that the beneficiaries should be people who truly deserve this.
But that's not feasible. But let's see how it goes for the second time. This one will tell us if the government has learned its lessons from the earlier one which received the attention of the EFCC for probing.
Criminality in every Nigerian sector… leaders who will kept lying to her citizens most time forgot the provius lies and tell another new ones
The former minister of aviation up to date has never been arrested by efcc eggs or any agency
Nigeria is just moving like sheep without shepherds
Ebonyi State Government has approved purchase of aeroplanes for the takeoff of flight activities at the Ebonyi Airport, Onueke. The implication is that the state is going to have an airline of its own.
The Ebonyi Airport as we're made to know has gulped over N70 billion, cost of construction of three of such airports in a sane clime.
I thought that at this early stage, private airlines should have been handling flight activities there until the airport becomes viable enough.
The airport project is shrouded in secrecy. One would think what administrative interest a state government have in a supposedly federal government-owned airport.
The then Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika who worked towards the approval and pronouncement of the airport as Chuba Okadigbo Airport we later got information as having his hands soiled in shambolic aviation deals one of which was the unreal Nigeria Air that was said to have been revived with planes secured for its eventual functionality.
Will it be wrong to say that Umahi and minister were just using the project for as a cash cow. ?
What's the business of a state government in appointing commissioner for aviation to manage a supposed Federal Airport. ?
What should be the business of Ebonyi State Government in committing N19 billion into completion of a supposed airport owned by the federal government? What's now its business in the establishment of an airline as the only one to function there. ?
It, therefore, means that the naming of the airport federal airport by Hadi Sirika was totally a gameplay with the then governor, David Umahi. You can't have a state government running and making policies for a federal government's establishment.
I'm of the opinion that the basic needs of Ebonyi people should be attended to first before embarking on tertiary projects which are more or less conduit channels for financial malfeasance. Buying airplanes at this point in time is quite a vainglorious achievement.
If Ebonyi could afford that kind of amount of money, why then are our people very poor in great number including graduates.?
Where are we really headed. ?
Who should protect the border against smuggling…
