United States of America developed because of the railway transport system. All developed countries have advanced railway transport systems which sustains their economy whilst marine transportation improves their economy. We are joking as a country. I think our leaders are blockheaded and very incompetent.
These are all consequences of overcentralization. Regions are neglected so the people there resort to all manner of tactics including vandalism to survive. All the money flows to the center which means poor maintenance in the centre doesn't matter to those there as they will be financed by stripping the regions, also all the money flows out of the regions which also means good maintenance culture there goes unrewarded. Just as with money there is also little power in the regions, meaning any visionary and passionate leader will never ever bother to look at local government meaning only useless yes men ever hold office there. The system as a whole is designed for anything but sustainability. This is a structural problem, but in this part of the world we can only ever see the people in government.

One more thing the efasturacture is not good this is part of the reason why we can't menten it sometimes
