Like the previous generation these will be available in the standard size as well as the smaller, lighter “Ranch” models. The new features include factory Cerakote, spiral fluted barrels,…

  1. I have one of these in 5.56. I love this gun but hate the trigger. It will not adjust below 4.5#. Has anyone modified the trigger on their Gen II yet? I searched youtube and Google and all I find is first generation parts and videos. Nothing on Gen II

  2. So the american hunter magpul .308 is good to go. Not a treking rifle. Found getti g that plastic rear bolt tail piece back in place a pain. Youtube to the rescued. Am happy with the heavy barrel. Would've preferred 24" though the 20" seems adequate for range distances available. This is the first C.F. bolt gun …everything else is rimfire. Thanx Ruger…

  3. I am jonesing hard for the 6mm ARC version of the Gen II Ranch (projected Q2 ‘24) even though I know the ammo is crazy expensive. Seems like it would be such a capable little rifle.

  4. Seems just about perfect. My only ask would be for a flush mag of some sort. When I'm hunting solo i tend to carry it with my hand there a lot, as it's generally the balance point. Can't do it with a protruding mag.

They are gonna sell the crap out of these things, though

  5. Ruger rep may have lost his razor somewhere, but his long beard did not cloud his knowledge. Great to see his enthusiasm and insight on the new iterations. I always felt like some of those Ruger had a very gritty bolt action especially when using AR or Mini magazines. This seems like a great improvement with great attention to detail. Great coverage by Hop and TFBTV.

  6. Nice. Every rifle should have a threaded barrel now. I’ve been looking for a soft shooting bolt gun with a 16” barrel that doesn’t break the bank as my son’s eventual first deer rifle.
