We’re headed to western Africa, specifically Senegal for today’s International Sandwich Sunday. Ndambé is a bean and beef stew that is then put onto a baguette for tasty street food. That sounds really good! I would add pickles, probably not correct but I like the vinegar bite.
It’s cool how when you do a plus-up on international sandwich Sunday you also use ingredients and condiments from the local cuisine!

I dont doubt that it tastes fine, but I cant see how stew meat (generally chuck) could be tender that quickly, even though it was cut pretty small. I get it though….the recipe is being followed as written.
Sounds good. Definitely different. The lime was a good call.
Gotta say though, starting out with BOILED beef had me worried.
I know very little about African cuisine aside from the Arabic and Berber northern countries. I’ve had Ethiopian foods simply because there’s a decent immigrant population nearby, but I can’t cook any myself. And I don’t really know any dishes native to the rest of the African continent, and that’s very wrong of me. Thanks for choosing to highlight Senegal this week.
