National Integration: Our Universities Have Become Incubators for Ethnic Jingoism – Kukah
The university system is the missing link in our national development programme. It has become a playground for the ambitions of local elites. Majority of Federal universities in the south have Integrated both Christian and Islamic worship centres on campus but this is almost absent in the North

If I Had Chosen Obi, It'd Be A Mistake, Tinubu Has Been Preparing To Be President Since 1990s – Kukah
The Bishop of the Sokoto Catholic Diocese, Matthew Kukah, has revealed that if he had chosen the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi as his preferred candidate, he would have made the same mistake he made in the past because Bola Tinubu is the only candidate who came prepared for the job and has been preparing since 1990s.
In an interview with Channels Television, Bishop Kukah revealed that President Muhammadu Buhari and the duo of former presidents Goodluck Jonathan and Olusegun Obasanjo, among others who became Nigerian leaders were unprepared, but he is happy that for the first time, Nigeria is going to have a president in the Calibre of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who is well prepared for the job.
The Bishop further revealed that both Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar were not prepared for the presidency, and no president or head of state in the history of Nigeria ever came prepared for the job of the number one citizen of the country except the President-elect, Bola Tinubu, who has been nursing and preparing for the task decades ago.
He said, "If I had chose Peter Obi, it would be a mistake, Tinubu has been preparing to be president since 1990s. You can go all the way down in Nigeria, you're not going to find one single person who has been President or Head of State in Nigeria that came prepared for the job. Atiku and Obi weren’t prepared for this job and that’s why I said we should not make the same mistakes in rushing to just get someone anyhow who is not prepared to be the president of Nigeria again".

😢
Bishop KuKah is speaking grammar. The fact is that "A nation without conscience is a curse to its people". The thing about Nigeria politicians and leaders is that they have no soul, no conscience, their wickedness has no boundary. It has become clear that Nigeria is in a complete and altered mess. There is no amount of bridge you'll build that will ever redeem Nigeria. Nigeria is rigged in darkness and you expect to survive in that strange environment. The country has gone beyond redemption. A referendum or total disintegration is the only solution to the problem in Nigeria.
We are over-religious in Nigeria.
FRAME 21:45 "…the director of the Kukah Center, Fr. Atabara, has a PhD in Boko Haram…"
–Matthew Hassan Kukah
Do the Boko Haram members use the Kukah Center? Will the Boko Haram members be attending the planned national cohesion conference?
Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah is an excellent story teller, topnotch political analyst, and a dedicated academic theorist whose eloquence is enviably intoxicating.

If a marriage does not work, break it.
Nigeria marriage has NEVER worked.
IT WAS NEVER EVEN CONSUMMATED .
If Nigeria was a baby, it would not see its third birthday.
STOP PRETENDING AND FACE REALITY.
God expects truth and honesty from us.
Let's continue deceiving ourselves when it is obvious that nigeria is not one and can NEVER be one.
I am never tired of listening to Bishop Kukah. So much to learn, thank you…
Maybe Nigerians are not capable of managing diversity.
When is tomorrow Bishop.
Bishop your instance or example is needles to regards to improvement in that zoo. That's why all we complain remains noise
Since successive government failures to lead by good examples, all programs for inward national integration with profound future prospect has been window-dressing. The NYSC schemes: good initiative, poor execution, destroying dreams and aspiration of teeming youths pursuing paper qualifications and regrets.
Jesus is Lord 🎉
When the religious leaders are afraid to speak , I pity the followers.
Over the years immemorial H.E Bishop Kuka have been looking for 'a reason to let people know that tomorrow will be better'
Over the years the people have been defaced and continuously loosing their rights of existence in Nigeria without basic needs for life. Hope is inconsequential without positive action neither does it grow or prosper a Nation. Faith is the substance of things hope for Heb 11:1 Faith without work is dead James 2:26
How can we preach this hope to the hungry and dying poor in the streets, ID camps whose only crime is being a Nigerian. The irony of this whole discussion is that 'if we can't have a Messiah why then do we hope?' you can't be doing same thing and expect different result. Nigeria can't work base on religious and ideological differences which the Bishop has highlighted but still choose to downplay it. Enough of this jelly coating….
Bıshop there ıs nothıng that wıll ever solve Nıgerıan problem, ıntregatıon of dıfferent trıbes ın Nıgerıa would never work.
It's with these rot that drug President was birthed for Nigeria even with fake certificates
The institution of criminality is the highest office of Nigeria.
A poor man takes up an office n becomes a very wealthy man over night and comes out to say real.estate 😅😂
There wıll never be oneness, ıf we contınue to practıce nepotısm, trıbalısm. When Buharı choose ıs kıns ınto hıs cabınat, what people expect, what about Tınubu?
Anyone callıng for dıversıty ın Nıgerıa, ıt must a joke. Nothıng wıll be done to Erdem’e Nıgerıa, relıgıousıty, ethnıcıty, trıbalısm has fınıshed Nıgerıa.
We all base only on our own people and people tellıng Igbo beıng second class cıtızens and can’t rule Nıgerıa.
It ıs better the Bıshop just keep everythıng to hımself, there ıs nothıng that would do to solve Nıgerıa problem.
We were first colonized by the British and got our first political independence in October 1, 1960 and then we were recolonized by the Army and got back our political independence in May, 1999
I wish this media chat with Bishop Hassan kukah never stopped, he's one man I enjoyed listening to his speach .
Keep listening since the 80s….all they do is talk, and the major problem is religion and failed value system that lead to corruption and under development.
I remembered a guy of an ethnic group asking me why I was always interacting with someone of another ethnic group during my NYSC.
God bless you Bishop!
"… I have to find a reason to let people know that tomorrow will be better.."🤔
Lamentation is not always good for the soul, sometimes hope is beneficial
@rufai, you seems to like crying over spilled milk
Rufai and his hate for Tinubu. Thanks for the answer Bishop Kukah for shutting him with his nagativity. U forgot you are also corrupt. Your car passed through one way and was apprehended, you kept shouting at the police and threatening them that you would report them to the governor. Where is dignity too?
You are indeed a BISHOP.Remaim blessed.
BISHOP KUKAH, the problem with NIGERIA is TRIBALISM. This is the TRUTH.
Buhari and Tinubu are the vehicles in ethnic agenda. Very despicable act. We're all wise already waiting for the end of it.
Bishop Kikah, Admire his historical theory. But my concern is during the 2023, election he was not clear to his position for the election. My question to him do he believe that God choose Tinubu.
Bishop Kukah. Admire his historical and theolgy. But faiil short to express his positiion for the 2023, election.so do Bishop Kukah beliver that God choes Tinubu.
The Bishop made a laughable recommendation about producing the Nigerian constitution in local languages for Nigerians so that Nigerians could know their rights and defend those rights to maintain their dignity. How can a people that are incapable of thinking and reasoning be able to understand anything even if you split up their brains and dumped the constitution there?
Do you need any understanding of the constitution to know that you must not vote for a thief or a fraudster or other morally corrupt politicians? And if and when any such politicians stole your votes and rigged themselves into office, do you need any constitution to tell you that you must rise up to defend your votes and take to the streets to bring down such a government as it is done by serious and responsible citizens in other countries?
Very nice suggestion Sir… They must invite Prof. Chidi Odinkalu to speak on the Judiciary Reform
@23:01. As much as I am a great fan of Rufai, for the 1st time, I think he should have cut Kukah some slack. Yes, government is a continuum and no matter how we're tethered to our opposing views, we need to soak in reality in our assessment. It will take a while no matter what approach we use to switch from a consumption-based to a production-oriented economy. Quite a number of the methods used now are trial and error while some are strategic. Whilst we challenge their errors, we also have a moral duty to project some optimism. It should not be gloom all the way.
Nigeria, is an experiment of nationhood whose assigned citizens only love talking and hate taking action for reasons only associated with cowardice.
This guy has no credentials for the integration of Nigeria, present Nigeria leader. Ethnicity and tribalism is a disease in Nigeria and could be likened to Zoonotic disease…. passed on from human to human. It's only separation of the nationalities that can help the peoples that live in the space called Nigeria. Sorry is a farce…
I don’t like listening to this man anymore. He has been badly compromised!
The Gidion Orkar view. The perfect propaganda line. A rather simple and very clever analysis. But is that the way it is,in a nation where one's qualification for the leadership of a church(ECWA) is based on one's citizenship of southern Kaduna rather than one's ecclesiastical qualifications! Tribalism is an affliction of the unproductive and free loading Nigerian elites and clergymen. They abound everywhere.
All thanks to you sir and your ungodly interventions. You now want to generate new crisis in respect of siting churches and mosques.Nigerians,in and outside of the universities, are inherently good people. But the clergy are evil, tribal warriors in cassocks. Especially you sir and, your fellow traveller,Professor Jerry Gana. You have denied Nigerians the benefits of the sweet fruits of diversity. You are a bad man, Mr Kukah.
Try and appreciate a fact here sir, Bishop Kukah is speaking from the Sokoto Catholic headquarters, located in the middle of Sokoto, less than five (5) minutes drive to the Sultan's palace(it's like having an Abuja kind of mosque, only bigger, in the heart of the Vatican, next door to the Pope). The sultan is the spiritual leader of Muslims in the country. Marry this fact to the Bishop's statement. His mischief will become obvious.
It's well with our Nation
Oh yes, Mosques can be built in our Universities in the South but NO Churches is allowed to be built in Universities in the North. 😮God bless you fr. Kukah. Who is listening? Islamization is fully being implemented in Nigeria 😮
