  1. Namibia has the third highest levels of income inequality in the world. 6% of the population own 70% of the land and here, the wounds of German Colonisation run deep.
Between 1904 – 1908, the Germans established concentration camps where the indigenous Herero and Nama people were interned. Up to 80% of them died in what Germany later recognised as the first genocide of the 20th Century. While the descendants of these victims, like Karvita, live on illegal settlements in constant fear of eviction, the descendants of these colonists continue to own most of the land and have no problem justifying their inheritance.

This documentary was previously on our ENDEVR channel. It has been added to the FREE DOCUMENTARY CHANNEL because we think it is a better fit here.

  2. What a skew and under handed documentary. I am sick and tiered of these race baiting, violence stirring divisive types of documentaries. Namibia is a constitutional republic since March 21, 1990. Anyone believing they will take land from anyone who owns it is mistaken see our constitution for further reference! Before you people waste money on this whatever it was, live here for more than 3 weeks and speak to more than 5 influencers. The majority of Namibians (people living in the republic) do not hate or want to take each others land contrary to the few extreme views you found. Stop the ever divisive Dividing! We are Namibia 🇳🇦 We are Namibians ! I want good for everyone around me!

  3. It would be great to have a more complete documentary about Namibias past. After 31 years of german colonisation, there were ~70 years of south african occupation and now 34 years of indipendence. The german colonisation argument for Namibias problems and challenges gets a bit long toothed with that in mind.

  4. I don't doubt their is quiet a dark legacy from Germany and the corrupt minority and recently the Chinese Look to see who is really pulling the strings and put it in the hands of our creator God.

  5. I am german and I feel so ashamed. I have watched this documentary before. They should normally kick out all this germans. You can't live there on the stolen Land of someone. I could not even look in the mirror. This is all soooo wrong !!!!

  6. Germany owes Namibia nothing furthermore Germany has built Namibia into a beautiful better country. God bless Germany for building Namibia into a great nation.

  7. This is so sad to me as a Namibian. Our country wealth belongs to the whites and small numbers of black politicians. We need to stand up and try to bring changes

  8. yes owning land does not make you rich, but the issue here is the land is not equally distributed to the other people for them to succeed in managing it, go to the northern side and see how little land is given to the actual Namibians, while someone is out here owning land that is as big as an actual town or two, that is ridiculous

  9. I'm not too sure thst giving the land back is a good idea if they have no clue what to do with it. They can collect rent or something while watching and learning how to use the land

  10. Namibians are wonderful people. We have the herero and mbukushu tribes in botswana who are from our neighbour. But yes its indeed expensive there with most citizens not benefiting from a system that seems to keep the wealthy even richer and the poor the same. It just seems to be an african curse in a way most of its countries going through that.

  11. You CANNOT properly portray history with any form of censorship! They didn’t sugar coat their actions, so how will younger generations know what was actually done if you blur it out? I realize this is YouTube rules, not the makers of the documentary. It’s just frustrating, it feels like a cover-up. It’s an affront to the victims and the sympathizers..
