I have African masks in my house in the Uk and Also my South African friends here have Beautiful masks in their houses,and we are all Christians and we don’t believe that there is anything evil about them. This are our beautiful cultural artifacts
For what I know from my country initiatic culture , mask represent in most cases the face of your "spiritual guide or protectetor" or they represent ancestors, we all know African spiritually is about traveling into the spiritual world and talking to spirit

We have a Masking tradition in New Orleans. It's very colorful and artistic. The "Mardi Gras" Indians or Black Masking tradition is art in motion with songs and rituals. This was a great video to appreciate our own cultural heritage.
